Yes my baby was seen by the pead. I was assigned dr monaheng not sure how they assign dr's. She came to see the baby the day after she was born nd the day we got discharged. Yes i checked my med aid claims after we got home nd she charged about R280.

Birth registrations are done by a lady from home affairs. I got kamva's birth certificate before we left the hospital. Took 24hrs.

Oh nd another thing when it comes to food always order extra portions as they have really small portions. I never did nd everytime after eating i'd go down stairs nd go buy food.

1 last thing on my last day a lady came nd gave me a pedicure free of charge. That was a real treat

Tell me, was your baby attended by a paed? Did you have to pay for that? How does it work?

Morning ladies!

My dr did the 3d scan for free not sure of the others as i had it done @ his room. The 4d scan was done in the hospital but u can only get it done after booking your bed.

I booked my bed @ 24weeks the dr gave me i note then i took the note 2 the pre admissions clinic where u fill in your details nd then u done. The booking fee is R170.

The gift bag u get is nice. Consists of a big nappy bag, its navy with a pink nd blue line. You get a teddy bear, a striped red nd white baby grow written little life, sample toiletries from J&J also 3 nappies, a bag of cotton wool, surgical spirit, a changing mat. Hope i'm not forgetting anything. While you there u'll also get a bounty mom's gift bag which has a book nd pamphlets nd also a pampers premium bag with nappies nd pamphlets!

1st immunizations are done @ the hospital. My daughter didn't get hers done there not sure y, took her to dischem. They cost R40.

Morning Ladies

Thanks Mommy21.

SO there are no private rooms at all except when you are in labour?

What is the bed booking procedure like?
What do they offer? 3d or 4d scan upon booking? Bag etc?

thanks in advance

Hi ladies

i gave birth @ brenthurst 5weeks ago. The hospital is small but the nurses are great! I had a problem with 1 of the nurses she had said something that i thought was inappropriate while my mom was there,we laid a complaint nd after i was discharged the nurse called nd apologised. But apart from that i had a great experience!

The wards are not private there was 5 of us after i gave birth but when u get there nd in labour u have a private room which has a shower or bath!

When u in recovery depending on the birth u've had the baby comes back with u! I delivered naturally with no epidural. 1 lady had the epidural nd had to recover from it before the baby was brought to her. The baby's are always with the mommy's in their little cots on wheels.

Anything else? U ladies can ask specific questions if i've forgotten anything
