Mjabu- so glad that you are out of hospital. Really sorry that you have had to go through this. Just remember to keep as relaed as possible. Your gynae sounds like he is doing a great job looking after you.

im so sorry to hear about the diabetes. but thank god that you are okay. at least with it being diagnosed you can try and control it. are you on sick leave or back at work. hope you are taking it easy and relaxing alot. thinking of you.!!!!!!!!!

Hi ladies tx so much for your thoughts, prayers and support, went to see my gynae and he admitted me straight away, was at te hospitsl for 11 days just came bk 2day, they some tests and confirmed that its gestational diabetic have been taking the insulin and checking my sugar every 2 hours... Im feeling better now and the baby is well just that my gyane said looks like im going to be delivering him early and would be probably be a C/S.. Ive accepting this change in my life my diet, lifestyle is going to change but i have to do that for my baby. My fiance has been very supportive so i think i will make it till i give birth as gynae said this goes away as soon as you give birth. tx again ladies im glad everyone is doing well i tried to read all the post and saw sum pic for the baby shower its beautiful...

Juandre - shame man thats lousy. We're not attending classes this time round, but I remember a couple in our class with Ethan that also missed the one for dads due to completely uncontrollable circumstances. The lady that was running the class allowed them to join the last week of the next group. Not sure if that'll be too late for you guys, but maybe ask her if you guys can try. Just a suggestions if hubby really, really wants to go.

My hubby felt that he learnt more from the nursing sisters for the 3 days in hospital then he did from the class, but that is in hindsight and for now if your hubby wants to feel prepared and ready (well ready as you'll ever be), mabye attending the next groups last night is an option.

Jo- I hate you... Well done on the weight!!!! I have put on 11.5kg's, dr says about 2kg's of that is water retention as I have it bad so I am on schedule according to weighless. But I wish I could be like you and only have a few kg's to loose at the end!!!

Wow your babe is big. I thought mine was at 2.2kg's at 32 weeks. You baby is clearly getting all it needs!!!

sho good weight for how far you are in your pregnancy . ive already picked up 13 kgs..( sux)


juandre - oh that so cool glad you enjoyed it. i remember with my son we got such a nice view of what he would look like , but with my daughter my placenta was in the way so didnt see so nicely.
sorry about dh missing your class tonight that really hectic.. but maybe you can just keep a close eye and you can teach him at home.

Vicky- we had our 4D scan 2 weeks ago. We were not given any pictures just a DVD. It was so amazing and our little girl put on a real show, scratchng her face, rubbing her eye, sucking her thumb, playing with her feet. She didn't hide her face once.

We have our last antenatal class tonight. She will show the bathing for the dads as that is their job, and go through the breathing and pushing again. Then we are having snacks and drinks. Looks like my DH won't be able to make it, problem when you own your own business. He does training and his Friday morning class asked to be moved to tonight this week and could not do it any other night. He can't skip this week as then they would not finish in time for their exam in July. The next exam date is only Dec. I am upset that he won't make it but not with him just the circumstances.
