Maybe go and speak to the neighbour or ask all the other neighbours to sign a note and ask them to comment on your dogs behavior?? how can people justify that and as u say u have had the dogs for how long and only now that new ass is there there is a problem????

Thanks guys, but this guy is making it difficult to keep the peace, he just sent me and DH arrogant messages to please get rid of out dogs or move!He says he went over to the house (again unannounced) and says our great dane went for him, look our dog is laaaazzyyy to say the least.he is the kind of dog that lazes around all day and only barks when he has to.I called my helper to hear what happened, she says the guy came over, said nothing and left, she doesn't speak much English, so totally understandable, but she says the husky went over for a pat, dummy and the dane was lazing around in the sun.



She says the guy then went over to the house next door and was having a "friendly" chat with our neighbour, so he clearly is not looking for peace.He is bullying us

naomicee thats just unacceptable and quite rude, i would do what jo says, keep the peace with the land lord, well try as much as u can but as for those new neigbours, like my mom says there always new people who act like new cock on the block HAHAHAHA, NO MAN!!! thats also just made me angry, how dare they.
dogs bark!!! thats what they do! like they moan, dogs bark! aye aye aye, what a pain!!!

Naomi - that sucks. Shame man. I would complain to the muncipality that they are running a business from the premises. There are laws that govern this and they would have had to apply for permission to operate their business from a residential property. I know its real "tit-for-tat", but I would try to remain friendly with my landlord, smile and nod and then in the back ground silently make life very difficult for the neighbours. Good luck!!

Newbie, baby's room looks lovely. well done!I haven't had time to read through everyone's post.I'm just having a crappy day.Landlord issues...

So we are renting in an estate with standalone units, and we have 2 dogs, a siberian husky and a great dane... we've had them for the last 2 years and have had no complaints.The dogs, like any other bark everytime there is someone outside our gate,they sleep through out the night and we have new neighbours who just, just moved in and are apparently running a business from THEIR house.Some of their clients sometimes park in front of our gate, which naturally leads to the dane barking, the husky hardly ever barks,we never really had a problem because they use our parking when we are not there during the day.Now he has the nerve to complain that our dogs bark at HIS CLIENTS? He sent an e mail to our landlord who came over to our house and shouting for DH to come out (during work hours), the dogs barked at him, and he apparently let himself into the house and left us a very rude note! We have had no prior complaints about the dogs,we walk them, play with them every chance we get and they really aren't troublesome...We haven't been on good terms with our landlord for some time now, he just comes in and out of the units as he pleases and gives keys to his maintanance people to do work in the units unsupervised, when we complained about this, his attitute changed toward us.I called now and asked him if the neighbours are allowed to be running a business from their unit?
Is it ok for other dogs to bark at strangers and not ours?
Are we not allowed to complain if not happy with the way he does things?
Its too much trouble to move out now, what can we do?

Juandre - Yay for your scan!! Let us know how it was. Hubby and I have also decided not to spend the money (quite expensive), so I am quite jealous

Newbie - Glad you don't have to mission off today. The netcare group are great with their extra add ons. We had Ethan at a Netcare and got a lot of very cool freebies. This time round we are at Life, and everything is extra with them.

We're off to do our maternity ward tour this afternoon and then a gynie visit after that - can't wait!
