how is everyone today..???

im okay , feeling a bit down and out, im very very emotional. and its always with hubby he said he not going to spk to me anymore because i cry for stupid reasons.. sometimes i just cant help it , i try not to... but then i feel the dreaded tears running and i know that he is gonna have something to say about it. and when he confronts me then i cry mor.

joc- when i went in to be checked out they initially told me it was free, and then i had to be admitted so i think in the end i was charged.. they also put it down to that if you have booked your bed then its free. ( im giving birth at linmed it is a netcare hospital.)

i must admit i didnt have a good experience at the local "life" here by us aswell. in december i picked up food poisoning or gastro cant remember which and i headed for the emergency room at 11 at night.. we have medical aid and yet they would not see me until my husband coughed up R1000 to cover costs for the treatment..( keep in mind , im 8 weeks pregnant, getting cramps from hell, vommiting and diarhea) they calmly told my husband they cant help unless he paid the money . what a mission at half way thru the month... i mean who has R1000 to just hand out, eventually they saw to me and i was also admitted ..for 3 days. do you know that they didnt even bother to check and see if baby was okay. that is what decided to never go to life hospital again... ( just my oppinion. )


naomicee- ive also been reading about taking primrose oil tabs and putting them in your private


i never tried it so have no idea if it works.

i tried the castor oil in orange juice and it neva worked.... tastes terrible and just makes you sit on the toilet the whole night...... literally......

by the way patty - if you wanna update the list my due date is actually 3rd of august but will be having c section at 20 july

ladies i just bought a cheap breast pump, i think it is snookums and is a manuall one from baby city it was R199 anybody heard anything about this one..

i carry on dreaming about going into labour..... i dunno if this could be a sign that maybe my body is getting ready.????

Just a question to those who have popped into a maternity ward for a check up - did they charge you? I was so pissed off on Sunday with Kingsbury, as the nurse handed me a slip to pay R135 at reception on my way out. I can completely understand if I hadn't booked my bed yet, but I am booked to deliever there and they will be making a fortune out of us - so wtf? I feel that the "Life" chain of hospitals are really, really about making every cent possible. we have to pay R900 for a 3D and theres no free baby bag or any nice extra soft and fluffies like with Medi-clinic. And that is my rant for the day!

Newbie - Seems high, but not too bad. Don't know much about BP, but it doesn't sound like its in the danger area. Instead of going back to the gynie, if you feel shes wanting to make a buck, why not stop by a clicks pharmacy, I think they do BP readings either for free or for like R20.

Naomi - think you are approaching the whole thing with hubby the wrong way. If you want baby to come sooner you need to make love, not war - quite literally actually.

Nappies - not sure who mentioned it earlier, but I also found with my son, that I could exchange unopened packs of nappys if he had outgrown them, so don't worry if you have too many

Dee - you brave, brave girl. Off to the games. If it wasn't for my almost unbearable pelvic pain, I would be keen to venture to a fan park, but I really can't - taking serious strain at the moment. Wish I wasn't though, cos I really wanna enjoy the last little bit of my last pregnancy! Good luck with the Dr appointment. Let us know how it goes.

Fay - Wow - you lucky spoilt girl - thats so awesome! Good luck for the Drs appointment today, let us know how it goes. I'm not at CT Medi clinic - sorry.

Sindy - sorry to hear about the heartburn. Finishing off soon - I'm sooooo jealous!!

newbie - my littlie has also had a hiccup increase the last few weeks. At least 2 or 3 times a day. Shame the poor things. My son was the same and the one comforting things is that you know they're still ok. I can say that with my son the hiccups was something that continued after he was born as well. Shame the little nooonooos

Morning girls

Well I slept ok last night, my hubby was snoring his head off.. Driving me insane, I even had a bit of earache, thats how annoying it was.. Oh well.. Baby is moving like made today, a little sore, but she is just been very busy and has alot of hiccups, shame!!!!
Also my hubby and I have started eating a bit healthier, we have both picked up almost 10kgs since I fell preggies.. lol.
So no carbs after 3pm, and just eating healthy.. Nothing drastic..

naomicee - thanks for the info on blood pressure. Sorry that you are so sore, how u feeling today. Keep us posted on what the gynea says.

vickyvdw - thanks for the info, will keep an eye on it. However I am always thirsty, but I do pee all the time, all day long, so not too worried.. As for being exctied, so am I, I count down the days.. lol

Dee1302 - hubby had ticket to the england game on Fri night here in cape town. I didnt go though, just too tired and huby said he doesnt think i will cope with the crowds.. Anyhow him and some friends went and it was good for him to be out for a bit.. Glad he had fun..Goodluck with the visitors, hope u are not too tired to entertain..

Fay - wow u are really spoilt, hope u enjoyed it. i am delivering at netcare blaauwberg.. goodluck with the app, I heard they do, do an internal just before though.. so hope its not too sore.

Naomicee - try loads of sex, they say that the semen softens the cervix as well as a orgasm releases some hormone that can trigger off labor, just dont over do it

well ladies, i hope that this temp starts today cos i am also starting to stress some of our ladies at antenatal have had their babies already - yikes!!!
oh and that idiot, can u believe we finished a whole 30min earlier cos he wasnt speaking as well as it was on breast feeding so he didnt have any funny remarks, OMG and he clearly doesnt only get to us, cos we were sitting next to this other couple that each time he opened his trap, they sighed

Tossing and turning watching soccer now.... Dont know why im not sleeping as 2moro i planned to go to the movies to watch that Lon Schuster's new movie...

@Newbie hope your BP is going down but i would'nt stress as long its not over 140...

@Dee you lucky fish how i wish i can watch the soccer in the grounds but i cant
especially the Brazil and Portugal here in Durban...
