Evening everyone.....

Thanks for the warm welcome from you all, as well as the encouraging advice ;-)

Funny how at work I feel fine, and then as soon as I get home all the aches and pains begin ;-) I am still in a handover pahse at work, ans finding it very difficult to "handover" LOL so I am still doing quite a bit of work. I am supposed to be going on ML the 14th, but I am thinking of bringing it forward a few days... till the 9th as well. I just fear beinf bored at home, and I hate being bored at home... oh well.

Naomicee - Happy birthday to your son ;-) Glad everything turned out well ;-)

Has anyone gone to see any of the World cup games? Hubby bought our tickets months ago, and at the time I wasnt thinking that I'd ne 8 months pregnant! LOL but I went 2 weeks ago and it actually wasnt that bad. I'm actually going again now on Thursday, and again the 3rd July. Its quite exciting ;-)

Anyway, its my gynae app tomorrow..... 2 weeks ago LO was weighing in at 2.1 kg's (31 weeks). My 1st born was 2.9kg's at 39 weeks so yes, I feel and look a lot bigger than before ;)

My in laws arrive on Wed for a visit (our whole family is in PE, hubby and I moved up to CT about 6 yrs ago), so at least we will have some free time before LO arrives.

Anyway I know this reply has alot of unrelated info in it, LOL but I sense you ladies all know each other quite well, so thought I'd just go ahead and chat away ;-)

Have a good evening ;-)

bye vicky :)

I only got one pack newborn, about 45 inside I think, the very small pack and the rest are bigger sizes, I think I have enough to last me a year, been buying nappies since Dec last year, I don't have space anymore for nappies..I also have a mix of pampers and huggies and have 3 friends I can swop with should the sizes and things be wrong.

hi everyone, checking in before home time

so glad to hear you are all okay.

i have 29 days left until little one is here , unless she decides to come earlier which may be possible.

naomicee-goodluck with the appointment tomorow and i hope you get what you want.

yeah 120/80 is normal. my bp was 140/95 and that was way high apparently. but it came down after a couple of days.just keep an eye on it.. and if any headaches, nausea, blurry vision and thirst that cant be quenched-( without an increase in going to the loo) is considered to be symptoms of pre eclampsia. so i was told.

ashbabe - we believe you ;)

newbie- so exciting as we count down the days.. i think everyone is getting so annoyed with me.. cos i carry on bringing it up.... :P
cant help im excited....

ladies i bought a pck of the premium pampers nappies ive been told there normal price is + - R200 i paid R139 from babycity they actually had a hell of a lot of specials hubby and i have decided we are doing our baby shopping there from now on. just seems logical.

anyhow spk to you all tomorow....

Newbie, that doesn't sound too bad at all, but is worth mentioning. just take it easy, that stand in gynae is just gonna make your bp go even higher due to stress, take it easy physically and emotionally, drink lots of water, cut down on salts and you should be fine...

Newbie, normal BP is 120/80 anything over 139 (top) and anything over 90 (bottom) is considered high risk...

Jo, thanks for the words of encouragement, I'm 38 weeks on thursday and I am tired as hell, my gynae told me the same thing, about induction not always being a success...but I just want this baby out of me already, she kicks my rib cage so hard you can see she also needs her space

Ash, to think that I even try to pick fights with DH, so that he can piss me off and make me go into labour   I am generally a very patient person, but these days I hate that about myself, nothing upsets me...even now when Im looking for a reason to get so pissed off, i go into labour!  guys it is that bad....I'm gonna speak to that woman tomorrow, woman to woman, I hope she agrees.

Hey

ashbabe - thanks girl, no problem. I have only bough about 90 newborn nappies, the rest are size 2's and 3's. I will just go get more if I need, however it all depends on baby's size as Jo_C said.. lol
As for u being online today all day, its ok.. We dont really have to work anymore.

mjabu - Nappy prices doesnt sound too bad. I have also got a mixture or pampers and huggies. Also goodluck for the baby shower, hope it doesnt rain.

naomicee - glad the kids are having fun. Shame about ur pain, hope u feel better soon. its ok you are allowed to moan here. Think we are all tired.. And Jo is right, alot of inductions land up in c-sections.

Jo_C - sorry was that u, ur name came up different.. How u feeling, any better after the post mishap this morning. Its happened to me lots... I think mine was 132/85, but app the midwife said its not that bad and I mustnt worry. However the gynea that was standing in for my gynae while she was away said it is high and i must come back in a week. I just didnt like the stand in gynea at all. And feels as if she is trying to just make money. The midwife who has always taken my BP, said its a little high, but no where near dangerous and i mustnt worry..

only 27 more sleeps to go before I see my LG, getting super excited...
