Newbie - Answering your BP question was part of the long post that I lost this morning. I'm not sure what is normal during pregnancy. I had a check up at the maternity ward yesterday and mine was high 164 over 94 (I think), the nurse asked me to lie on my left side and in about 15 mintues it was back to normal. I think high BP with other symptoms is a problem. So although BP was high, I had not protein in my urine and no headaches or blurry vision, so all was good to go. But if you are concerned stop in at Blaauwberg and let them check you out quick-quick!!

Majbu - I think the amount of new born nappies you use also depends on your babies weight at birth, cos remember the nappies cover for a weight range. So if I recall new borns goes from 2.5 - 4kgs and then the next one and the next one. I have not bought a lot of new born size, cos Dr predicts baby to be born close to 4kgs, so with a few weeks of weight gain, she'll outgrow new born in no time.

Naomi - Shame girl - how far are you now? I know you said this morning, but I've forgotten! Sorry. I read on one of the other threads that a gynie told one of the ladies that a very high percentage of inductions end in c-sections, so maybe try to hang in there if you can. I know its tough though - shame man - thinking of you!! As for the kids - cake and sweets and the party will rock!!

Friday i have to go back to work as they throwing me a baby shower dont know how i will cope driving there...
Saturday is my baby shower the one i and my friend organised have hired all the stuff im going to need hope it does'nt rain as i want it outside im putting my gazebos....

in case u all wondering if i am working, yes i am LOL but both my bosses are not in and i am training a temp from tomorrow or wednesday so i am taking all the me time i can today LOL

now that the time is getting closer for all of us, we need to be kept updated after visits

kids are havin a blast outside, only 8 showed up...which is fine...I am just too tired to chill outside, my leg cramps are horrible today i can barely walk, but this woman is busy cleaning up, wasn;t too happy with her work, everything looked to sloppy and her hotdogs were not fresh but you know how kids are, the cake made up for everything,luckily i got one myself, he liked his gifts, and I'm hoping everything will be done by 5...


I see my gynae tomorrow, i am strongly considering asking her to induce labour...i can't carry on like this anymore, baby is well over 3kg i have gained 20 kgs, my back is sore...if she gets too big, I'll need a c-section, which i do not want.I am just tired guys, baby is also tired of listening to me moan

i wouldnt buy too many new born, i have bough 6 x huggies x 44 nappies and 2 x jumbo pampers new born i think there 92 or 96 nappies in a bag and then i think i am gonna get size 3now.

i am going to try opt for cheapest, they didnt work with chloe, she only used pampers but now i am gonan try wat ever esp as new born cos u change them so often.

i want to know how many do we need to buy for
newborn nappies as the babies grow so fast...

I went to Baby city and bought the specials are as follows for newborns...

Pampers Newbaby size1 - 2 packs of 43 + 63 sensitive wipes = R129

Huggies Newbaby Gold size1 - 2 packs of 44 + 2 packs 64 wipes = R119

i bought both Pampers and Huggies as im not sure which brand is good...
