Welcome to all the new recruits!

Last week was so hectic, hopefully get time to chat this week. I got home after 6 on Friday night and Troy was hysterical cos he wanted his mommy! So never working late again!

Had a nice weekend.

Shame Juanita - hope you are ok. You must be careful you could have cracked your blerrie head open!!!

I love the new chair. Looks nice and cosy. We need to get Jade a booster chair and then Troy is getting her Chicco. She loved her seat so I can definitely recommend them.

Elsa - I loved the clip. Had a good laugh now. Brilliant. I can see us doing something similar. Sigh.

Jade back at school today and Troy fine. He has been on a hunger strike the last few days. Just drinking boobie. Not stressed. And I also gave him a strawberry to suck on (not organic either! eeek!!! ) Strawberry juice everywhere and I think it has stained his clothes. Oh well...

Welcome to all the new mommies!!

Had a nice relaxing weekend. Went shopping on saturday for a car seat, good thing we took lg with. She hated every single seat we put her in!! The only one she sat in and stayed in without complaints was the Graco Mini Junior


I wanted a Maxi cosi, but she wouldnt have any of it. Kept pushing herself out of it. Think the sides made her feel too restricted??

Sorry bout the car Stellie! Why will it take 3 months?? Do they still have to manufacture it or what? If all goes well i will get my new car on Wednesday. Then dh must just fit the new car seat. Not even bothering fitting it now, just using the old one till then.

Fell in the shower this morning. What a idiot! Now my arm hurts and my hand is already turning blue. Knew i shouldve stayed in bed

Sorry to hear Cayleigh has a snot nose Angel, Leandi also got a bit of a cold. Im also using Corex and i thought it was imagination when she stays awake after having it. Maybe i should look into the Rinex. Actually hate giving her that stuff coz of the Ephedrine thats in it, but ive tried the natural stuff and next to antibiotics its the only thing that clears up her nose. Seriously hope it doesnt get worse, I HATE ANTIBIOTICS!!!
To answer your question, Leandi sleeps till bout 6:30 then when we leave @ 8 she sleeps for half an hour. Then again from 10:30 for maybe an hour or hour and half. And then again at 3:30 for about 40 mins. And then she goes to bed at 8:00 / 8:30.

First of all, welcome to all the new moomies. Can’t wait to chat with all of you 

OK, my little girl has developed a new habit – one that mommy is not so fond off. For the past three nights she wakes in the early morning hours and decides that it is time for mommy to spend some quality time with her! She just refuses to go back to sleep for at least an hour! Hopefully she will move past this phase VERY soon as mommy really needs her sleep at 3:30 in the morning!

We went car shopping over the weekend, but would you believe that we could not find an IX35 to test drive anywhere in Cape Town! How do they expect you to buy a car that you have not driven yet? Anyway, we finally decided on the VW Tiguan. It’s a really pretty car and I look really good behind the wheel  Now it’s just a waiting game as I want that steel gray colour and they say it will be at least 3 months before the car is available. I HATE that! I want my car now!!!

On Sunday I made a proper Sunday lunch (the first time since Zani’s birth) with leg of lamb, roast potatoes, pumpkin, green beans etc. It was sooooooo nice. I invited my mom to lunch as my dad is in Maputo for the week. Zani also had a piece of lamb (that she stole from mommy’s plate!) and when I went to BF her later she could not latch properly and kept on spitting the nipple out. Finally looked inside her mouth and found this huge chunk of lamb stuck to her palate! LOL, my little piggy!

Other than that we had a nice relaxing weekend. How was everyone else’s weekends?

I'm a SAHM from Pta East. I do work for my dad from home, accounts, admin, bookkeeping, but can keep my own hours. My little Dea is almost 7 months now, but has only now started sitting. She still needs some support though. She has started waking up more during the night lately- I think it's tooth nr. 2 coming through.
I would love to talk on your thread. You all seem very nice, and it looks like a gr8 support network. Hope this new mom can also join in?
We have had a nice relaxing weekend. DH is flying to CT this afternoon, then it's just me and the two girls tonight and tomorrow.
I would love to post some photos. A blonde question... how do I reduce the size of the photo's to post them?

Hope you have all had a fabulous weekend. Mine has been nice so far. Cayleigh is a bit snotty again, went and got her some rinex because the coryx keeps her awake. Shame the rinex makes her sleepy so she has been sleeping nice at night and during the day. How long do your LO's sleep during the day?
