Justine
I am so sorry that you had to go through this. {{{hugs}}}
I don't believe that someone who has had an MC can shrug it off, it is only women who haven't had an MC that can shrug it off. I honestly know of 1 lady who seems to shrug it off and she is cruel to animals and so not normal in my books anyway.
Getting back to life after an MC is a personal journey and needs to be different for every woman. We are here to help you with that. For me my life will never be the same as my MC has changed who I am. I am getting to a point though, that even if it is still a bit painful I am starting to not regret it as I feel I have learnt so much about myself and honestly believe it is going to make me a far better mother than I would have been. Even this sentiment causes me guilt at times but I know it is true (for me) My little angel in heaven made more impact on me and my life than many many "other" people in my life. So for that I can not regret what happened. My angel will always be in a special place in my heart.

Take care hun and remember we are here to support you through this difficult time.
L xoxo

thanks for the support SH.
i thought i was 9 weeks. it measured 7 weeks + a few days i think.
im very lucky to have a very lovely gynae. you must have felt so let down by yours. i just cant believe how insensitive some can be. i cant imagine how much of a shock your experience must have been. you're supposed to be able to relax after 12 weeks. though, after this experience im not sure when (if?) im pregnant again i'll be able to relax at all :(

Esmari, i'll never forget her words "sorry, i wont lie to you... it doesnt look good" :(
i just kept hoping and hoping she'd pick the heart beat up from another angle. though from my first born i remember how strong it looks... so my hope was fading fast then.

Justine, welcome, but so sad that you had to join here.
Same happened to me in april. I went for my 1st scan, and doc said sorry, there is nothing..... No warning, nothing. No blood, no pain. Nothing. I feel for you!

Debbi, how are you doing today?

Justine...I think we all know how you are feeling. How far along were you?

I was 16weeks with the twins, when I started with a brown spotting. Phoned my dr and he said nothing to worry about. HELLO COME ON - high risk pregnancy with identical twins and at 16weeks I have spotting? That dr is never seeing me again. I don't call what happened to me a MC...because I was 16weeks, twins were fine at 12weeks, but when gynie checked, there was just no heartbeats, and I had to give normal birth...

This happened on 15 September 2010...I would've had the twins by now or anytime soon.

Coming back to work...removing my ticker...deleting the updates I was getting...that was really tough.

So please take this time to heal...every MC is "special"...we just had a chat yesterday about this...how people - when you say you had a MC - has the attitude of "so what, it happened to me too"...like it is nowadays a normal thing to have a MC. BULL. Some women handle it better, some just needs time to grieve, even if they were 5/6weeks.

So take all the time you need...(((hugs)))

hi Debbie,
ive just fallen out of the aug/sept 2011 thread for the same reason.
mine was a missed MC so i had a D&C on wed with no bleeding before... your experience sounds very tough. im not sure how i would have handled it if that had happened to me.

the lack of bleeding/cramping or any evidence that something was wrong really made it such a terrible shock to me. strangely enough, miscarriages in my mind were always horrible things that happened to other people. this has really brought the reality home. also made me realise how little control we have. i thought i had planned things perfectly... exactly 2 years between my children. due in late winter (much more comfortable). take Aug-Dec off work... arrive back in Jan so minimal work disruption... etc etc.

and now its all over. and my week counts circled in my diary extending the end of each trimesters- all the important milestones etc... are a cruel reminder.

sorry for the rambling. seems i have a lot of thoughts all bottled up afterall.

Hey

JoDon, who could stay away after all that bitcing! She rather decided to face you!

Klk, strons on smep!

Shazz, halo there. Bump growing slowly. I can feel bump growing bigger if I lay down and feel for it. Its about 2-3 fingers from my belly button, and its growing more outward. But my whole tummy looks bigger as everything makes way for baby.

I am soo happy today. Just feel like I know this is gonna be a great year!
