Hi Girly, Vix

I think he is doing the best he can in my situation. We don't have a medical aid, and the provincial hospital can only take me on Tuesday. He phoned them while I was sitting there. My obgyn is a specialist, but does not work for the state... And this other doc says that there is no big risk of rupture.

My ob said that even if I had a medical aid, they would only give me this meds anyway and observe (witch could take days) they would do the laparoscapy, as a regular d&c wont work.

He said if I experience any heavy bleeding or worst pain than af, I should phone him immediately (day or night), and if he does not answer his phone, I can send him an sms, and go to the emergency room immediately. (I should mention that I trust this doctor with my life......)

This is a "something that happens to one out of..... women" thing that is happening to me at the moment.

Anyways, the medication he gave me is a chemo shot. He says that it will kill the pregnancy and let it shrink and reabsorb. The use this for early diagnose ectopic pregnancies as well.

Another thing, our provincial is a top rated hospital. It was rated even better than our medi clinic.

But Ja, nothing changes how scared I am at the moment.

Esmari- so sorry you're going through all this. I agree with Girly, you need to be 100% happy with what your gynae is advising. To me if there is any risk of a Hysterectomy in a young woman he should be making an appointment before tuesday to fix the problem! Do you thi you should get a second opinion?

I hope it doesn't come to a Hysterectomy.

Esmari wow hun, I am so sorry about your news.

I would say this. Dont give up. If its that crucial your gynae should do everything in his power to help you, and the sooner the better.
If you are unclear on something he's said, then phone him and get clarity.
If you feel he's not doing 110% to give you a chance without a hysterectomy then go for a second opinion with someone who specialises in the surgical side of it.

I'm just thinking allowed here. You need to be 100% sure that you are being looked after.

Will pray for you and please keep us posted.
