Hello Again,

Went out for a bit today with my Dad and had lunch which was nice although bumped into one of the ladies from my squash club that was super excited about the pregnancy so burst into tears at the restaurant and so did she :( Otherwise it was nice to get out for a bit.

Have any of you heard of someone's water breaking at 12 weeks like me... I never realized that could happen I just thought you MC'd or that there would not be a heartbeat if something was wrong so it was a shock to me?

Chan I am so glad you have a healthy little boy were you nervous throughout that pregnancy?

Dinky I am sorry for your loss as well sounds like you have been through a tough time I hope AF arrives soon! My Dr said I should wait for 2 - 3months after my first AF it sounds like such a long time to wait but am also scared that if we do not wait long enough my body will just reject the next pregnancy?

Angi you have also had such a tough hand dealt to you I thought mine was bad at 12 weeks I am so sorry. I pray that this 3rd time is the one and you have a happy and healthy baby in a few months xxxx

Thank you all for sharing xxxx

Mom2Be do what makes you feel good. The day after my D&C I took myself out for breakfast - just couldn't bear being at home alone!!! We all cope differently and you need to do what makes you feel best. You have been through a major emotional and hormonal upheaval it's understandable that you will feel lost and confused!I understand about not wanting to harp on about it but the reality is that's exactly what you need to be doing right now and that is why you have joined this group, so that you don't feel like a stuck record coz we all had our time to harp and you will see other ladies join this group and you will give them the support they need because you too will understand. It's hard to believe but you will start feeling better.

The councelling will help too. I went for 3 sessions and it just helped me deal with my feelings and work through them. If DH doesn't go don't be upset, firstly they are wired differently from us and tend not to need to talk things out and they somehow see it more rationally (it is what it is) they aren't as emotional as we are.

This is my story: I was on nur-isterate injection for about 3 years. Last year April DH and I decided that I would go off the injection and I would fall pregnant when the time was right. I still did not have AF until Jan this year when I had my first AF in 3 years! My doc said though that we were to test every month while the injection was wearing off just in case. I hated seeing that one line month after month. I had my second AF in April and also went to my gynae for a check up. She did an internal scan and said I have some cysts on my ovaries that we needed to keep an eye on and she also sent me for a CD21 Progesterone test. My progesterone levels came back very low. Sometime in the next 6 weeks I fell pregnant but because of my irregular cycle we had no idea when! The first blood test said I was over 12 weeks so we booked a scan ASAP. My first scan indicated that the fetus was about 6 weeks but my uterus measured 8 weeks. My gynae sent me for another HCG test which indicated somewhere between 6 and 8 weeks so my doc said to come back for another scan in two weeks to make sure the fetus was growing. We went for our second scan on the 20th of June and we were quite excited. My doctor couldn't pick up the baby with the normal ultrasound so she did an internal scan which showed the fetus only measuring 7w3d and my uterus measuring 10w5d. There was also no hearbeat. I had to have another HCG test to check whether my levels were dropping, which they were, drastically. My HCG had halved in two weeks! My doc gave me the choice to wait to miscarry naturally or to have a D&C. I opted for the D&C. I went in on the 22nd of June, so far one of the worst days of my life! But my doc and all the nurses were stunning! A week later I started bleeding quite heavily, my doc called me in for a check up and she said it was just the rest of the lining breaking away as my HCG levels dropped. She said I could expect AF within 6 weeks. Well, AF never arrived! Last week I called her to ask her where to from here. She prescribed P5 days of Proveral 10mg to help bring on a bleed, I am still waiting...it's not been an easy road but it has made me appreciate the intricate workings of my body alot more! As soon as AF arrives we can start trying again. I am scared as hell but also excited at the same time!

Mom2B what you're feeling is totally normal and we all probably felt like that the first few days.

It does get easier I promise. Going to a councellor is a really good idea. My DH and I went. And if your DH doesn't want to join you don't resent him for it. You go and deal with your emotions and learn to deal with your grief. I'm definitely one for councelling!

Well you probably know me for never getting any sleep!!! Hahahaha!

When we were trying for our baby I had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks. Then a Blighted Ovum a few months later. And then last April found out we were expecting our monster. Had to take progesterone and blood thinning meds during my pregnancy and it turned out fine that time around.

Kade is now 8 months old and as you can guess - hardly ever sleeps!!! Shoo it's tough!

Morning Everyone,

It is nice to talk to people who have been through the same thing I sometimes feel a bit lost and not sure what to do with myself? People keep telling me to stay in bed and rest but I just can't as I start to dwell on the upsetting things and get depressed. I feel a bit like a robot today on automatic with no feelings but too drained to do anything about it :( I hate harping on about how crap everything is at the moment I don't want people to resent me and say what a miserable person I am.

i have booked an appointment with my counselor for tomorrow morning (not sure DH will want to come but at least I can go). And i am having my nails done just now for something to do while DH is out working. We have our own company and work from home so caught up all the work i missed this morning and now bored again :)

Please give me some updates on what is happening with each of you so that i can get to know you all and what is happening in your lives at the moment and get up to date?

Good Morning everyone!

Mom2B - I remember those first few days. It was terrible, everything set me off! As Chan and Klk said, we have all been there so we can relate. I am sorry I dindn't find this group sooner because it feels so good to chat to people who you know understand what you are going through. I still get teary every now and again, I battle when I see people I haven't seen since then or when I have to tell someone new what actually happened. Hang in there and chat to us as much as you need to.

Chan - fx that the necklace helps long term!

AFM - AF still not arrived "properly" there is a bit of bleeding but not proper AF bleeding. I am on an emotional rollercoaster, one minute I am extremely happy and the next I feel like bursting in to tears! My doc said to call her if AF hadn't arrived in 3 days (that was yesterday) but I have heard of ladies waiting up to 10 days. There is definately something happening and I don't want to call my doc unnecessarily. Not sure if I should just wait it out this week...hmmm...

Anyhoo, hope you all have a lovely day - it's nearly weekend! YAY!
