Ello Ladies,

wow It really is a wonderful day in jhb today , lets hope that means spring is on its way.

ChanM - Absolutely fabulous , I really hope that you have many more peacefull nights and altho you would go without sleep for ur LO , i am sure you will enjoy him much more after you receive some shut eye.

Mom2B - glad you went to counselling (moomie needs spell check) and it will get better as each day passes , seems like you and DH have the right idea, I must say we chose not to tell very many ppl I was pregnant again and I think it was worse cos I felt I had to put on a "happy" face to every1 else cos they didnt know what had happened to me and I didnt want to tell them then , meanwhile I was hurting inside.

Lucy - Sun City Nice , good luck with the christening - hope this means will will see some more pics nect week hint hint nudge nudge - Mom2be hasnt seen your princess yet.

Dinky - I am sure you are the only 1 in the world that wishes her AF would arrive soon - hehe. Sounds like you are going to have a busy weekend.

Klk - next week is C's big week at school - how your nerves ?

Angi - I am positive that your jeelybean has made itself very comfy and is not going anywhere till early March.

Es - how is your SIL and family doing , sorry about you being so busy with LO - hope he settles soon.

AFM - Did a HPT this morning it was (-) but I also think it os too early but I was violently ill this week and have been feeling very "queasy" - dont know if my mind is playing tricks on me , time will tell. Didnt work today my daughter , mom and I went to the oriental plaza to look for a confirmation dress for me daughter , needless to say didnt find 1 , her heart is set on 1 we saw in Sandton (R4000) but going to try and have 1 made for less (got to save for her Germany trip)

Thats my essay for today , ello to any1 I missed.

After waking up to an overcast, rainy day in CT it has turned into a lovely sunny day hope it sticks around for the weekend :)

I spent 2 hours with the counselor today and am feeling a lot better about everything. She has suggested I join a yoga class to try and get rid of the stress I have had since I can remember and DH has been telling me for years i need to learn to relax and let stuff slide so will look into joining somewhere to see if it helps :)

KLK I have done that I got home and into bed and just cried and cried...DH found me and gave me a cuddle then felt a bit better.

Chan i can just imagine how paranoid i will be the first 12 weeks! The doppler is a good idea we sell those but never thought to actually buy one for myself maybe next time I will think about it! DH has already said that next time he wants to tell everyone early so that we can celebrate and have the support of everyone if something goes wrong.

Dinky I definitely get more emotional when I have to actually say the words to someone (if i actually manage) and they usually guess what has happened after taking one look at me! Hopefully it gets easier as you say. I also told the Councillor that i feel guilty when i am happy and she said that it is good to be happy and that I must just feel what i feel and not feel guilty :)

I hope you all have a great weekend i am seeing all my friends for the first time tomorrow so a bit nervous but will hopefully have a good cry and get it out the way and enjoy the day xxxx

Good Morning Ladies!

Happy Friday! Weather in Jhb is stunning today and I think it's gonna be a good weekend!

Mom2B I still get a bit teary now when I have to tell someone new. I went to my GP yesterday to have one of my moles checked out. She had done the original blood test before I went to my gynae so I had to tell her what happened and I still got a little emotional but it gets a little easier every day!Not many people can relate to the pain and grief you are feeling purely coz they haven't experienced something like this. I remember feeling so bad to smile or laugh, I thought I had to be miserable for a long long time. That is not true! You are still allowed to be happy and do things you enjoy! Good Luck for the councellor today, I hope it helps you.

Debbie what a nice thought! You share so much with each other on this board, things you would never dream of telling anyone else, it forms a very special bond! When I was planning my wedding I was on a similar forum and I made some wonderful friends in that time. Some of them I have met in person and even attended their weddings etc. and some of them I keep in contact via email. The ladies on this board are so thoughtful and compassionate - you rock!

Chan YAY for the almost full night's rest and some quality time for you & DH!!! BIG THUMBS UP!!!

AFM AF still hasn't arrived properly. There is blood but not full flow. Decided last night I will wait and see how it goes on the weekend and if its still the same on Monday I will call the doc. We have a busy weekend planned, got two weekends left to finalise the renovations before our "open house" so gonna be laying lawn, making storage boxes, hemming curtains etc. In between all of this we need to go and have a look at a cattery for my kitty in December (his usual one is full) and take our puppy to puppy school, hope the weather holds out!

Debbie the feeling is mutual!!

Mom2B - The first 12 weeks were really stressful! I was an absolute wreck. At least my gynae insisted on scans every 2 weeks so that did help. And from 12 weeks I used the doppler to hear his heartbeat everyday. And yes I checked everyday until I could feel him moving constantly. And the worst part is you're so scared to get excited and tell people etc. But we just decided that if something were to happen again then we'd just have the support and love of everyone we had shared the news with and that it wasn't fair not celebrating the new life that was growing inside.

Just wanted to let you know Kade had an even better night last night!!! Only woke up twice - first time EVER!!! Wow i'm feeling like a new person!! DH and I even had some romantic time last night!!! Hoping it's not a passing phase!! :silly: :silly:

Everyone comments that i'm a star mom and need medals etc because of everything we've been through with Kade but I just don't see it like that. It's been hard I won't lie but not for a minute did I wish I didn't have him. Even if I never slept a whole night again in my life I wouldn't care because at least I have him. We go through so much loosing a baby that I'm just so grateful he's here that i'll go through anything happily without moaning!

I hope everyone has an amazing weekend!!! :)

Mom2B, please dont worry what everyone may think of you. They wont know what you are feeling unless they have been through something as tragic as losing a baby. The more you talk about it the better for you. I remember one night I was home alone and I just started crying and couldnt stop. After, I felt so much better. Hang in there.

My story:

In June 2008 on holiday in Spain I conceived (I was on Clomid). On the 24th July 2008 (2 days before my 30th birthday), 7 weeks pregnant, I MC'ed naturally. I remember everything like it was yesterday. Thankfully I had my 30th party to take my mind off everything. My doctor told me that I could TTC again as soon as I was ready so we decided to start when my bleeding stopped. 3 weeks later on the 14th August 2008, I conceived my gorgeous boy. I was put on Progestrone for the first 12 weeks. My monkey is now 27 months old.

I have been trying for about 11 months now to fall pregnant with number 2. As I have mentioned in the previous post there are some problems but hopefully will be sorted sooner than later.
