Any women here that are rape survivors?

I found this blog - about a girl who was raped on holiday and told to forget about it - which she clearly can't.

I AM WRITING THIS BLOG - BECAUSE NO ONE WOULD TALK. I WAS RAPED ON HOLIDAY IN MAURITIUS. I WAS ENCOURAGED TO REMAIN SILENT. NOW THAT I AM BACK HOME IN SOUTH AFRICA, I WILL NOT SHUT UP AGAIN. THROUGH READING OTHERS' STORIES OF RAPE ON THE INTERNET, I BEGAN TO UNDERSTAND THE FEELINGS I WAS HAVING. I HOPE THIS BLOG WILL BRING UNDERSTANDING & SOLACE TO THOSE WHO NEED IT.

i found my blog. wow it brought back a lot of things i had forgotten about. i should really pick it up again and continue with it. anyway the web address for my diary is http:/letterdash.com/othy/a-miracle-i-found-a-copy-of-it its not the final one that i have on my computer but its the original version.

can it be an anonymous blog? i wouldnt want people outside moomie to know what was done to me

If you ladies are writing books and feel it is not quite something you wish to publish why not consider a blog.

I realise it is not quite a book, but it has great therapeutic value.

I am happy to assist you if you need help setting it up and getting some of your stuff up and running if you struggling to get it going.

I do think you need to get your stories out there.

There is something liberating about releasing your stories - it has the power to suddenly free your soul (and I am so not in to this sort of stuff, but the weight that you feel release is indescribable.)

Wouldn't it be great - a blog for rape survivors where you can support each other and learn from each other's experiences.

@Nels, let's not blame the mothers who bail out their sons and i'll give you a reason why. My eight year old son's psychologist has told me that i will need to have his testosterone toned down in the next four years because he does not understand the difference between right and wrong. She says then that due to his condition if i don't have that done he might end up facing rape charges, and all different types of crimes because mentally retarded people will normally just do whatever their bodies tell them to do. Bottom line is if my son should ever find himself in that position in future (God forbid), i WILL bail him out, however for now i must work on prevention and ask the Lord to help me.
