Meags gee, can't believe your husband is still so damn selfish and unhelpful! I would sommer tell him he can cancel his paternity leave if he thinks it's just going to be one fat holiday for him!

Misty, Betty and the girls other still waiting for their babies, you really have my sympathy! I felt like my turn was never going to come, so it was a huge relief when he eventually came 8 days earlier than we planned! I definitely don't miss being pregnant at all! Being able to hold my little darling and watch him is the best feeling in the whole world!

Newyummum/Betty that Dunstan's language thing sounds interesting. Think I must google it and read up on it.

AFM, we came home from hospital yesterday morning and it was lovely! It's so nice to finally have him here and in his room with all the stuff we collected for him over the last 9 months! Two of my friends came to visit and it was so nice to "show him off".

My darling LB has been a super champ with the BF! Fed about every 2 hours yesterday and during the early part of the night, but gave us a 4 hour and a 3 hour break later this morning, so we actually managed to get some good sleep.

My milk came in nicely yesterday, so it is a lot easier and faster to feed him now. I was rather worried about him not getting enough milk, even though he has had some lovely green nappies. (Gee, what has my life come to if I think a green nappy is lovely? ) So I no longer need to worry about milk quantity now. It is just difficult to get Mr to latch again if he loses the nipple during a feed - mostly cause he is half asleep when this happens and then I might as well stop feeding him.

My mom came over last night and helped look after him and change his nappy so we could sleep. She also brought us coffee and breakfast in bed, packed the dishwasher and asked what she could make for lunch, so she really is a HUGE help.

My c sec wound was a bit sore last night, probably since I didn't take my pain meds regularly, but it's fine today.

So all in all I am one super happy mommy!!

Meags - I keep forgetting to answer your question about my boobies after the 7 hours, like concrete rocks. I put boiling hot face clothes on them and they just started squirting!

Kimika - the paed picked it up after I told her I was concerned. I am giving t probiotic drops and an anti fungal cream on her anus. T also niggles sometimes and won't nap, she just wants to feed, sometimes 3 hours on the trot. I am not good at pacifying her and end up giving in and giving boob. I am sorry you are sore and I agree that bfing is hard.

Meags, maybe try reducing your milk supply by only expressing to relieve the engorgement, dont empty the breast. What does a cranial ???do?

Newyum, breastfeeding should be fine if your implant is under the muscle, my one friend has it and she has no probs Except for huge boobs As for the baby languages, the lady who did the sleep class also talked about it and it sounds amazing!! She even helped a few ladies with their baby's cries. When she said it and explained the nah cry it made total sense! My oldest boy use to cry the most of those and I know for a fact that he was hungry as I was in too much nipple pain to feed him Do you know where they got the dvd?

Schatsie, glad you and little Arno are doing so well and that you are enjoying every second He is just too cute for words!!

Joli, shooooo!! So glad the insurance is paying for the car!! R10k is still a lot of $$$$ but atleast its better than R61k! The phodie of Anje's baby is tooooo much!!! Youve got such a busy weekend going on, you will prob be glad when its Monday

Driekie, ahh thanks so much for updating us on whats going on with you and your little guy! Wow 20mins after they broke your waters he was born! Well done Good luck on the job and house hunting.. hope you find something great! What line of work is your hubby in? Pls try pop in soon!! xxx

Lucy, Yeah I say for yellow poo! How did you find out about the thrush? And then how do you treat it??

AFM: today was def little R's worst He kept niggling the whole day and hardly slept at all!! When we rock him he falls asleep and wakes as soon as you put him down. He also wanted to feed every 2hrs or even sooner and then when he feeds he falls asleep, so a bad cycle of hungry and tired Finally he is down now, hope he does a bit of a strech so my milk can recharge Shame, still he hardly cries.. just a bit. I think my milk production is too little and I need to up it. Ive noticed that when he sleeps for a good stretch and he then drinks a lot he is much easier and falls asleep immediately, even during the day. Aii.. Breastfeeding is hard hard hard work!! Meags, who ever said it comes easily?? Ladies who just feed for months on end without issues are so lucky!!
