Joli...yip today is exactly 40 weeks. I can't tell you how sick I am of people of asking if the baby is here already. Maybe the dates are out......???

Hi all. Schatsie. Arno is too cute and your mom seems like such a nice granny . Don't worry about your milk - it will come - just feed often and don't supplement with formula. Drink lots of fluid. If you still struggle try brewer's yeast tablets and you also get natural stuff called Prolak from the chemist that will help. They've prescribed Estrogin (??) for me when I had Callum as I couldn't get any milk expressed for the first week. I managed like 20ml after an hour's expressing, so I took that together with all the other stuff I've mentioned but I stopped taking it after Lucy pointed out the researched which was done on that - it's also a mild antidepressant - so see if you can cope without taking it. Since Callum's been home, he's been breastfed exclusively - I don't even have formula in the house.

Lucy - yip R10K is still a lot of money, but at least DH could make a plan to get it. R60K was just not possible at all.

Driekie - sorry about all the issues you had. Hope everything gets sorted and that you guys can settle well. Glad you had such an amazing birth experience. Can't believe how easy you pushed such a big babba out!

Newyum mum - are you 40 weeks now?

Rakker - shame - good luck with the work. Not long too go. I worked with Kayla until I went into labour (and with Callum obviously he he), but with Megan I was so tired from 36 weeks - I just couldn't anymore, so I took leave from 37 weeks - 1/2 day for a week each day and then from 38 weeks I went on maternity leave. Try to work half day if you can. Will help a bit.

Got my loan car today - so glad - at least I've got a car now. Well the 5 kids are all here. Callum is sleeping, Megan is watching the other kids playing Nintendo so really not bad at all. The one little boy (5 years) is a bit naughty, but not too bad at all.

Kimika's pics are too gorgeous hey and yes she does look like a supermodel!

Anje was here for her newborn shoot. She's got the most adorable little angel face girl with a big dimple on her chin (like her daddy) and a round little face. Only 8 days old, but gosh she wouldn't fall asleep at all. I guess every now and again you get a little one in that will be the total opposite from what you are used to. Kimika brought Reuben at 2 months old and I thought we would struggle, but Reuben was quite easy and we got some awesome shots of him - he even fell asleep! Lianey was a busy little soul and wide awake and shame she seems a bit windy and her parents are sleep deprived - but all is going well.

I hope Callum is easy tonight so I can get to bed early. Got another newborn shoot tomorrow and a kids party on Sunday. My friend is bringing her 2 sons again tomorrow afternoon as she is working again, so I hope the newborn is not difficult as DH will never cope with 5 kids. At least Dorcas was here today.

Lucy w: yes it is the dunston baby language programme. Do you use this system and does it work for you?
They say you should look at the tongue......but hell, what do I know....I don't have my baby yet to try it on!!!! I am sure all babies are different.

Schatsie:
One of the Indian girls at work gave me "birth masala" to help with milk production. Has anyone tried it. You mix some with milk and a few other things in the morning and apparently it works like a charm. ???

I also saw Berry Elixir with rescue remedy mixed with some apple juice helps with milk production. It also taste nicer than birth masala unless you a curry addict....

OK where to start with personals!!

Kimika - what stunning pics. You looked beautiful when preggy and R is gorgeous (well done to Joli too) whoop whoop on the yellow poo. I share your triumph as T has also gone back to yellow!! It turns out she has thrush in her tummy.

Joli - So so pleased for you that insurance will at least pay a huge chuck of your car. 10k is still a lot of money.

Newyum - is that the dunston language? T does an "a" sound when hungry.

Driekie - lovely to have you back. 3 contractions and E was out - wow, well done and congrats.

Rakker - Did you manage a walk? Grrrrrr

Schatsie - don't take drugs for your milk if you don't have to. It can take up to 5 days for your mature milk to come. I am so glad you are loving A so much, isn't the love going around something indescribable? Enjoy, enjoy!

Meags - As i said a while ago that Bfing is not more important than your bond with M. He has had plenty antibodies now!! Please take of yourself. Hugs

Now my beautiful baba is little over a month old and still an angel!!!

I breastfed him for about a week and a half but realised it stressed me out too much so I stopped luckily I did so as 2days later I got probs with my gall-bladder and had to take antibiotics...so now he is on Nan (thank goodness he is not allergic like his brother used to be) and doing just fine!

Iam soooooo glad to see all the other babas are doing so well...a huuuuuuuge CONGRATS to all of you and your families!!I've just skimmed a few pages as there are waaaaaaaaay too many to catch up on properly!!

I see there are only a handful ladies left!Good luck to all of you and may you all have the perfect birth-experiences, like I feel I had with little Eoin and may your babas all be healthy!

The family business where my hubby has been working for the past 10yrs is closing down so now because of that (and issues with his dad)we have decided to re-locate to Gauteng from Mafikeng in the North-West..so we are on a huuuuuuge job-hunting and house-hunting mission, but will try to stay in touch with you!!

Hi there again - I posted from my cell the other day and the battery died!

SHEEEEEEEZ - where to start...I had a hectic start to my year and that's why I haven't been chatting

First of all - I had to change my whole client-database and follow up on ooooold things the previous manager didn't do etc etc, had training to do and hr-probs like hearings and financial year-end etc etc etc...kept me hell of a busy!

Then a whole bucket-full of family issues to sort out with sister in law and father in law...things they wanted to do that they shouldn't and had to do a loooooong time ago etc

All in all my last part of my pregnancy was a bit hectic!

OK so update:-
On the 10th March I started having cramps at around 9pm and for interest sake timed it and realised they were about 3-4minutes apart - after about an hour or so we decided to go to bed...but by 12pm we decided to go to the hospital because then if anything happened I would be in good hands..Well when they did the internal I was 6cm dilated so they put all the monitors on me but it couldn't pick up very strong contractions at all. They called the doctor and he confirmed it and said that he was going to break my waters as otherwise I might lie there for hours and hours to come as labour wasn't progressing further than the 6cm.
They broke my waters at 2:20am on 11March and at 2:40am after getting 3 huge contractions my little or should I say big angel was born.

So Eoin was born on 11/03/11 at 2:40am weighing 3,9kg and 55cm long...
