SO Joli had a boy, Emsmom a girl, cant remember besides me who was not finding out the sex. Anyone want to have a guess?

Gosh the thread has been quite today....guess all teh moomies busy with the newborns.....cant wait to join you all!

Going to my last ante natal class tonight then guess that I will be a qualified mom to be! LOL

Amy - sorry cant help you re c section...but it is always at the back of my mind as well in case i needan emergency one. It sounds like your doc has chosen what is best fro you! So not much longer for you no weither

William remains a delight!! Last night he had a 6.5 hour stretch of sleeping YIPPEE but then was up every hour for 3 hours LOL but we're getting there!!! Still topping up breeast with formula - he's responding well is now 4 kilos!!! (he was 2.55 when left hospital) VERY CHUFFED! his nature is still so sweet and lovely and beautiful hardly ever cries long may it last! went to gynae today and got all clear everything healing and can start to exercise again and everything else too! We're going away for the weekend and taking little one -just to a chill place in dullstroom for dh's birthday - wish us luck!

AFM: I am feeling great, my compactum and chair has just been delivered - finally. Hubby has stayed home the entire day, he works for himself and decided that he will not leave me alone until L is here (I am not even allowed to go to the shops around the corner by myself). Gotto love him. Once again had a bad night, I get about 2.5 hours of sleep, wake up, go to the loo, get back into bed on the other side just to get another 2.5 hours of sleep. Seems like my uncomfortability (if that is a word) is only starting now, but hopefully it is just preparing me for L who will be here any day now.

PS: I love the sentence on my ticker.

Mistymom, hope you were able to get some sleep, yuck on the heartburn but yay on being on leave in a couple of days.

Betty, ah glad you got so spoiled at your baby shower. Good luck on finalising the last bits and pieces. Don’t worry, I am 40 weeks and baby room is still not done. The chair and compactum was supposed to be delivered 2 weeks ago, but apparently it will be here today, so I understand how you feel.

Schatsie, wonderful on having at least one night of good rest, good luck with the rest of the day.

Joli, if I knew I would reach the 40 week mark, I would have booked my photoshoot for later. I love my big tummy !! I hope Callum’s difficult nights will not last long.

Amy, wow, amazing, a week from tomorrow you will hold your baby in your arms. Luckily you know when she is coming. I am sure everything will be just fine !!

Congratulations Emsmom. Hope all is well. Your baby has a good weight.

Meags are u home yet? And how is your son doing?

It sounds like this is the last week of work for a few ladies including myself.

Today I saw the doctors. I'm 37\38 weeks and the ultra sound shows baby weighing 2.6
The gynae that saw me today said she prefers a c section. She consulted with another gynae and they both agree that a c section is safest for two reasons. One that I'm diabetic and because my first baby didn't survive. When I told her that the other doctor said that the baby is a normal weight she says that the later scans are not very accurate and second babies usually weigh more then first so I shouldn't rely too much on the scan. So I am booked for a c section on tuesday morning the 5th. I will have to be at the hospital on monday though as I will be put on a sliding scale of insulin meaning that they gonna gradually reduce my insulin on monday. Yip. My last day at work was suppose to be thursday but I'm thinking of taking thursday off and preparing. I still gotta pack the baby clothes in the cupboard and pack my bag and babys bag.
I'm so nervous. The thought of being cut horrifies me. How do I calm down. How did u ladies with planned cesarians stay calm. I can't believe this is it. One week. Why do I feel so emotional.

Congrats Emsmom and hubby!! I know he wanted another girl, so he must be over the moon!
