Mistymom I'm also sitting here doing as little as possible today. My boss told me to hand everything over to the new guy ASAP, so I told him I'll do the 2 meetings today and then everything is his baby!

I smsed Emsmom to ask what time her C sec was, but haven't heard from her yet, so she's probably in as we speak.

BettyF, I know how you feel re the nursery not getting done. It eventually took me bursting into tears and shouting at my husband before he finally took me seriously and finished everything.

Morning Moomies

Yay yay yay its MONDAY! Never thought I would say that, but been my last Monday at work for months I am feeling pretty smug sitting here! And what am I doing??? Not much...in fact as littel as possible...

Was hoping some news re Emsmom....anybody know what time her c section is / was?

Dropped DH at airport this morning and had the traditional Wimpy breakfast that we always have...so do feel a little full now!

Betty - hope DH gets a move on with that Nursery.....maybe arrange for a friend to come help him and then wit ha set day and time he will have no excuse not to do it. OOOOh you so lucky with all your pinks.....i was looking at all the clothes I have again last night and must admit cant wait to add blues or pinks to it...was thinking now that i have less than a month to go I may go buy some and can always have the unused sex returned!

Had a very restless night last night....so anouther reason why cant wait to get onto leave so I can sleep late!!

Kimika - maybe we can have an updated list...who is due next, who is left? I am a little lost now! Wow movies at 2!! That was brave! Glad he had a nice time..

Oh yes just a quick question...when I was at the GYnae last week (35 weeks 5 days) he said that the baby has not engaged yet, and that when it does engage it is still at l east 2 week sfrom then until labour? But surely that is not true??

I'm SO excited about Emsmom! Hers will be our first "unknown gender baby"! Pity she's going to have to go for a c section though - I think she was really hoping to go natural, but as long as the baby is healthy, I'm sure she'll be fine with it.

Mistymom, yay, only 4 more days at work for us!! Never in my life have I counted down the days towards something like with this pregnancy!

We had a lovely weekend - Fri night we went to a braai with DH's colleagues, Sat night we went to dinner with my sister, yesterday morning we went for breakfast and some final baby shopping and the rest of the weekend we just chilled at home, watching TV together. Somehow it felt like our last weekend of being alone together, although of course I still have 3 weeks to go.

I had the most horrible night on Fri and was sore the whole of Sat, so Sat night I decided to prop myself up on 4 continental pillows and it definitely worked since it was far easier to turn over or get out of bed. So I felt wonderfully rested yesterday, which explains why I was able to go shopping. I tried the same thing last night, but somehow I was just extremely restless and had hardly any sleep, so this is going to be one loooong day again!

Just an update from Emsmom.
She's going for a c-section this morning.
There was no progress through the night despite the strong surges.
She is fine with the decision and cant wait to hold spec!

Any news on Emsmom????

Betty, enjoy sorting out all the loveley pink goodies Thats such a fun bit! Shoo.. that was a long day for you and your boy! Hope you get the room ready soon and then you can just relax!

MIstymom, argh on the heartburn!! But it will dissapear in a blink once chipolata is born!

Lucy and Meags, how is it going with the new mammas????? Having fun cuddling with you newborns? And how is breastfeeding going so far?

Speaking of, R did a few 2hourly feeds in the last day or so and now my nipples are back to painfull state.. aaiii..

Eekk.. Im a bit stressed.. got to make a few samples of cupcakes this morning for my brothers fiance to have a look at. Im doing her cupcakes for the wedding. So got to get going on them as she is coming in a bit later.

Emsmom - so exciting that you are in labour, can't wait for your updates. Good luck, hope all goes well and your birth experience is everything that you want it to be.

Lucy- sorry you had a difficult birth, the kangaroo care sounds wonderful though- and so happy the latching went well, that part was the most difficult for me. Enjoy! When do you get to go home?

Faw - great to hear your news, boy it sounds like you have been busy! Glad that you don't have temperature problems and figured out the problem. I think that I should also get some of that blackthorn berry stuff- it's to increase the milk supply?
Yes I am very jelous that you have lost all your weight- I know it will take me many months of hard work and sweat- guess I am just built that way....
I am hoping you don't get the flu. I was not so great last week, thought it went away, but now it seems to have come back again. Please I don't want to get sick.
I too would have liked to hear your story on the radio, it must have been quite an experience.
Enjoy your outing to the mountain, hopefully they gave you the correct salary..

AnjeD - lovely 40 weeks pictures, you look stunning! How did you sleep last night? Hopefully no BH. Important for you to get as much rest as possible now before the baby comes.

Congrats on Your little boys birthday. Sounds like you had a lovely day. I took my niece to that Zoo about 6 years ago- we all went up to Jhb for my brothers wedding. I remember it was quite impressive compared to the Cape Town zoo.

Aah Mistymom, soon you will get some relief from heartburn...
Glad your DH has decided that it's going to be his last trip. My DH on the other Gand continues to willy nilly book himself off of trips here and there. He is hoping that baby will stay in until May. I am starting to get peeved. He told me yesterday he will be away for a day or so during the week of 20 April, hello ?

AFM- had my baby shower yesterday, a wonderful day and got so spoilt! Everything in pink. Got such lovely stuff, I need to spend some time sorting it all out now and making a list of everything that I still need.

Starting to feel a bit overwhelmed now that I am not going to be ready on time. DH still has not moved the book shelves out, nor the compactum in, nor set up the cot. So I have to ask him 1000 times and get peeved before anything happens.

I was also peeved with DH- I was at the baby shower from 11am and only got home at 10pm. He droped me off at 11 am then came back at2 pm after most people had left. Then at 4 pm left as he had to assist his boss with something, said he would be an hour, and then only came back 5 hours later. Of course M never got to bath, and went to bed upset.

Oh well, these things normally would not upset me that much, I guess it must be the hormones....

Back to work again today aarg the joys!

Faw - glad you got the temp down...wish I had known you were on the radio, would have loved to have listened! Keeping fingers crossed for you that the R1000 is yours! As for your ex hope you do not have to see him again too soon!

Meags - yay on been home hope your family unit now grows stronger and DH becomes the man he should be!

AFM....went to bed but just could not get comfy....Freaking heartburn! Hope to go to sleep soon as up extra early as need to tgake DH to airport. He is only away mon - wed and this will be his last trip before the chipolata arrives. Was my dads birthday so we went out for a nice breakfast. Then DH did the last thing in the nursery today, put up my mosiquito net / hopefully keep cats out cot net. Cant wait for my photo shoot pics...should get them in about a week. Just want the next 4 days to fly then I am on leave!!! YAY!
