Morning everyone

Still feeling low, but slightly better, managed to get a good nights rest, besides waking up early this morning, but that's only because DH is off to East London for the day. Hopefully this cold and throat thing passes soon. I never went to the dr so should be suffering in silence- just like me, I have to basically be dying before I go.

Lucy- nearly Friday, yay! Can't wait to see your baby pictures...

Schatsie- love your pics, especially the one where your sister drew on your tummy... Wonderful that you are nearly on ML. I only go on leave from 28 April- if I hold out until then... So my last day at work is 26 April. I wanted to benefit from the Easter holidays- silly me, but now I am committed. Anyhow I still feel great and have no problems- except now with this dreaded flu. My secretary is only coming back from her maternity leave on 4 April. And her replacement, who can't use a pc- go figure- has been off sick tis week... So definitely a bad week

Kimika, Meags- with my first birth, my waters broke- labour was not progressing well, they brougt on the contractions - not sure if this is the same as an induction- after 12 hours I had an epidural and after 15 hours baby got stuck.- and gynae did a c section. The gynae said that Matthew had bad moulding on his head. Not that I noticed.
When I discussed with him the possibility of a natural birth this time - he mentioned that M could have gotten stuck because of the shape of my pelvis. I wonder - could the moulding have been caused by the "induction" ?

MistyMom- so pleased all is going well. I too have never had an internal. With this pregnancy or the last. The first one I had with last pregnancy was after my waters broke at the hospital- the midwife did it. It was uncomfortable.
Enjoy your last few days of work - so lucky that you will be able to relax a bit.
If you make it to 21 April, he will probably give you an induction date.. Let's hope baby comes naturally by 41 weeks!

meags - enjoy your last day with DH, things are definitely about to
change for you! Hoping your appointment goes well. What exactly is a stretch and sweep? Excuse my ignorance...

ok so for the last 45 minutes my BH have been 4 minutes apart and combined with lower back ache and pressure in my lower abdomen/mild period cramps...and I had a bloody show.

not sure if the BH are positional so sitting up now to see if it continues

MistyMom glad the appointment went well and that you have all the info on your next visit-gonna be an interesting one for you! Gosh I have a feeling you'll be like me and just be waiting waiting waiting towards the end!!

Realised earlier that tonight is DH and my very last night alone together!!! From tomorrow my mom is here and then obviously baby will join us soon.

So I told DH to get anything important done at work tomorrow. I think I'll be in labour by Saturday. I think either the stretch and sweep will work and if not-the massage on Friday evening will. Let's hold thumbs!

Wish me luck for my appointment tomorrow. Its at 10:30 so that's 4:30pm your time. Will update as soon as I'm back on any progress and the stretch and sweep procedure! Hope its not too sore and I sincerely hope the midwife doesn't try talk me out of it for whatever reason. I think I'll just cry!

Lucy - hope you have no more nightmares! That really was a proper nightmare! Wow you must be getting so so excited.....hope your last few days FLY BY and that you stay in your chilled mood!

Schatsie - shame that we have to "settle" on pain been normal! I am liek that wit hmy heartburn, dont even moan about it anymore...it has just seemed to have become part of me...speaking of which deos anybody know the generic for gaviscon? I am on a big bottle a week so thought might try the cheaper one. A few people ahve told me about it but cant remember the name....yay schatsie...we have 6 wrking days left! Love your pic! You have sure grown since I have last seen you. I will try post one shortly but my internet connection is a bit slow at moment....OOH and love what your sisiter did. Very cute! Love that pic!! (lets hope baby is a little cuter...lol)

Meags - YAY ON SELLING CAR!!! Hope you are chilling with the house work! Cool that your mom is arriving soon! you must be excited and sure will be a lot less emotional (and if not at least you ahve a should er to cry on!). Love kitty pic On your mom....I would just nicely say that it is a very special family bonding time for you and DH. Say you are so happy knowing that she is just outside and not on the other side of the world! And that once you and Dh are settled and happy that you then cant wait to show her her grandson! Was her mom (your gran) at her side? I am sure if you expain nicely she will undertsand. I would not mention the "she may push DH aside" bit. Thank you re meemo update! Was wondering whatt happened to her! Will watch birth video when finished this!

Kimika - lol also panic will miss a birth if i have been missing for a day! Hope you get to the shops soon for that outfit! If you have time my appointments: 6 April then 21 April (which i hope will not need!). AGREE RE DRY SPELL! Thought they would be popping out all week

Gosh it has been quite on thread..normally takes me much longer to catch up!

Forgot to mention earleier did not have an internal, doc said from next apointment. Well at least I can now say baby due in less than a month!

Will try post some pics now (they not tha tgreat as my flash was not working fro som estrange reason....just cant wait for my maternity shoot ones...LOL kept on telling the photographer to make the bump look bigger and my boobs and face smaller!

ok just a AFM first then will do personals:

Gynae appointment this afetrnoon went well...Had been speaking to some people earlier and was a little worried as had not an an internal yet since been pregnant (which i found a little strange, but apparently normal if all is well). Anyway baby has put on anouther 400g (mom 2kg ) so is now 2.9kg at 35.5 wekks. Has not engaged yet..so doc said i am not looking at 38 weeks ...but good news is all else is fine. I asked him about strep vaginal culture (which I only heard about for the first time yesterday!) and he said that he does do the test at my next check up on the 3rd April (he says this result can change from week to week so he prefers to do it closer to birth.

So in a nut shell...baby is fine, mom is fine, we looking at probably 40 weeks. Also made my last appointment....21 April which I really am hoping I will not need as due 22 April and so hoping baby will be here by then.

After appointment we had 1.5 hours to kill so DH took us off to super and then to antenatal classes which was really fun tonight (breast feeeding and bathing baby)

Also been a great day in CT with some rain....yay cool at last.

OK now to go read some pages and catch up time...so wish had some newborn baby pics to look at!

yip exactly and the shape of your pelvis. also if women push prematurely it causes more moulding. but since you had the epidural it would have helped to not push before the time

Thats clever.. using a baby pool as a birth pool!

Meags, my babies never had moulding of their heads? Does it depend on how long they are in the birth canal or what?
