When I was preggie with Pieter I used to watch birthstories on dstv every day and yip, I cried each time a baby was born and gave those first cries!!! Other than that it did absolutely nothing to get me to go into labor.. I remember now that while R was being born I watched gynae's face and as his head came out and he started crying she had tears in her eyes Its such an emotional experience!

Emsmom, Im still in confusion about your actual due date?? Pls will you just give me your date so I can change the list?

Feels like we are having a serious dry spell.. no babies the whole week!!! Thank goodness Lucy and Meemo are giving us some nunu faces to drool over soon

ok so apparently watching birth videos is another 'technique' to bring on labour so excuse me if i post a few that I think are just gorgeous.

here is one!
(its 10 minutes long but so beautiful - cried almost the whole way through!)

Meemo is having a caesarean on Friday at 37 weeks.
She is starting to show signs of pre-eclampsia (BP starting to climb and protein in urine). She was always booked for c-section as baby is breech but they were only going to do it at 39 weeks 4 days.
anyway. rather safer than sorry so she'll also have her baby girl soon

I have no idea why she doesnt chat here anymore! Just on facebook and emails. oh and Kimika her baby's name is Sylvia. Will let you know birth details once I know

oh and if step mother asks me once more if I am still planning to go for a natural birth I may just snap.
She has asked me twice in the last week what birth I am planning, am I still going natural etc etc.
I know she's not asking out of interest...I am sure she is secretly wanting me to be so sure of a natural birth and then chicken out and go for a caesar or get an epidural or whatever just so she can say "oh but you said in such confidence you were going natural"
