Oh just wanted to mention, when Callum was discharge the nurse said I should take him at 8 weeks for his vaccination, so I made an appointment for this week, but when I called, they said that I should first speak to his paeditritian as he was prem. So I called and she said nope - he musn't go as yet. She will tell me when to take him after I've been to her (seeing her on the 29th of this month). It's also over R1000 for the vaccination. Thinking of doing it at government clinic to try save my medical savings!

Sorry girls, I'm extremely busy so don't get much time to be on Moomie and Callum's been extremely difficult the last couple of nights. Just can't get him to settle. He wakes up at around 7 at night and then only get him to sleep again at around 10 / 11 and then he will sleep till about 12h30 and then he's awake again, moaning and groaning until 7 at morning!

Sorry for being MIA a bit. I had an off day yesterday about flipping finances, so I didn't feel like chatting much. My car, which already cost me R4700, cost me another R4400. So I am just getting deeper and deeper in debt, so close to my 3+ months of unpaid maternity leave. But I had a nice cry and a nice chat to a colleague and feel much better now. Even if I have to increase the overdraft amount on my credit card and take 8-10 months to pay all the debt, we will be OK in the end.

Let's do some personals.

Can't remember if I have congratulated Faw and Driekie. If not, sorry guys. Hope your LOs bring you years of joy.

H-buzz, congrats on your tiny little angel! He looks so peaceful.

KarinM, glad you are enjoying your daughter. Good luck with the night time routine!

Betty_F, I hate it when people say things and then tell you it was a joke. I usually wonder if it really was a joke and still feel just as angry. Well done on all the work on the baby room. I must say, I was very eager to get everything ready when I thought this one will come early, but now that the gynae told me she will probably stay in full term, it's like I lost all my enthusiasm... Think I must do a bit every evening before I get too uncomfortable. Otherwise I'n going to regret my lack of effort.

He lost his hair, but it grew back just as light and thick. Let me tell you, with that thick hair I struggled for 3-4 days after he was born to get all the gunk out. I had to use my nails to get the bits and pieces out, LOL. And those soft baby brushes never worked with him. His hair had a bit of a red tinge, which was gone when it grew back after falling out.

I am just soooooo jealous of you going on ML! Enjoy it.

DH- left for Jhb this morning....only for today though so not that bad, gets back at about 10 tonight.

Emsmom- how are you progressing? Hopefully not in too much pain. Although your hypnobirthing is probably a great help.

Tazzy - wow so expensive. Hopefully our medical aid will cover most of ours. I don't remember any problem last time. Except this time DH requested a private room. He did stay overnight last time, not sure how easy that will be with Matthew this time. We never registered for PMB's either. Seems much like a waste of time now, as they don't seem to back pay?

Karin- the pictures are stunning, she is so lovely.

Faw- can't see your post, is your Granny's funeral today? Thinking of you, (((( hugs))))). Glad to hear the feeding is going well and that you are happy to be home. Did you tell DH yet that AH was born?

MistyMom- wishing you much rest and a speedy recovery. I was very sick in my first trimester and dr prescribed antibiotics. They were so mild and hardly seemed to help- augmenton which she normally gives to M.

Oh well - had a bit of a tiff with my Mom yesterday. She said something which I took as an insult and she said she was joking but
boy was I peeved. I am still fuming....

So the carpets in the study or nursery have been cleaned. Next job is to sort the bookshelves and move them out. Then get all Matthew's old nursey decor out and see what I can use. His theme was also Teddy bears. I was thinking of incorporating some pink or purple butterflies with that to make it a little bit more girly. A lot to do still, need to get a new mattress for the cot too. So perhaps a trip to the baby shop this weekend.
