wow ok that was world's quickest wax!!
And she was so lovely. I am sure she saw the grapes but was so professional and didnt say anything or act funny. she just chatted away and spoke to Matthieu (he always kicks a lot when I get waxed!!)
And it wasn't even sore so that's a bonus. She even asked if I was going to do the "butt strip" as they call it. hehe...no...no butt strip for me right now thanks!

All in all it took 15 minutes!

wow Anje that's quite an update!!!
The haemorrhoids are not painful anymore. Sometimes a little itchy but totally fine now. But they are still visible so I am going to have to get them removed at some stage as they are sure to flare up again one time or another.
Just hope from the birth they don't flare up too badly like the last episode cos I really felt like I was on deaths door and I wont cope looking after M with that!

Got my wax in 30 minutes and have no idea how to make the grapes less visible...oh well...just the way it has to be I suppose!

So I get BH like every 30 minutes...they are not sore...
I really hope they are doing something!

My mom is now saying if baby hasnt come by Monday I should re-think her coming rather after the wedding last week of April as if baby is even 5 days overdue, She doesnt even get 2 weeks with him if she comes now...
so will have to think about that.
She says she'll only change it if DH takes his full 2 weeks leave when baby is born. But I think I would prefer DH to take leave a little later when baby is more alert.
so ya...I dunno what to do now

Amy its very normal for EDD to change by a few days, even weeks. but your first EDD from your first scan is the most accurate. 2kg is on the smaller side for 34 weeks but that is a good thing since you have GD. And I wouldnt worry that you see a different doc every visit in government. GD is something they are very aware and cautious of so they will make sure they do what is best for you and baby and are very open to natural birth if baby isnt too big. Their c-section list is insane - sometimes emergency caesars even wait up to 6 hours so they wont do it unneccesarily for you.

EmsMom still fine. contractions every 30 mins or so - she is tired and starving all the time! but fine otherwise

ClaireC I'm sure my dr would book me off early if I asked him, but a) I'm a contractor, so am going to have unpaid maternity leave and therefore really need to work as long as possible and b) it is financial year end for us this month so we have a lot of targets to still complete for this month and c) the guy who's replacing me while I'm on ML is only starting next Tuesday and needs to shadow me for at least a week, so the earliest I could really go would be the 29th anyway.

AnjeD welcome back and wow on a very long post! You really caught up with everyone! Don't you have preggy brain like the rest of us? I also had a good laugh about your DH having depression because of his tummy! I think mine is going to have the same problem - he really seems to be enjoying married life and have gained more than 10 kgs in the last 6 months, mostly in the tummy area. He was complaining last weekend that he needs to go buy new jeans. I don't mind his weight gain though, he was rather skinny when I met him and he looks good with the bit of extra weight now.

What a lovely long post! I had such a good chuckle about your DH's comment about his belly not going away after the birth. I think my DH wishes the same thing for his tummy.
I am glad that L is snug and warm and happily baking away. You have a very good attitude and you will have your baba soon.
I am sorry about your "other" troubles. I think you are doing the right thing. Take care and stay strong!

Meags, don’t worry you are not the only one worried that baby will arrive after due date, my gyne said at last week’s appointment that L will definitely not arrive within the next two weeks, she might be on time the 27th but not due before that. Our time is getting less by the minute. I am looking forward to feedback from your MW’s appointment – that is tomorrow right? Congrats on the mommy groups you found, but glad you now have a friend that side. Hope hubby have spoken to his boss re an assistant already – I am sure that could help a lot. I sure do hope you and DH can sort out all the problem areas. Wow, the lady with the trips is amazing, she is a super woman, it makes one remember how much we have to be thankful. Haemorrhoids better yet ? Your belly is gorgeous and I agree it seems in the 38 week pic the belly is lower.
Rakker, I love your 30 week pics !! Cherise is a beautiful name and wow, sounds like a big girl and wow on wanting to push her out. Congrats on your award at work. Ouch on the debt, but well done for being positive, I am sure all will be ok in the end.
Lucy, thank goodness the in-laws left already, sounds like you had a hard time with them there. Wow, wow, wow, what a big baba, so your due date is closer than you thought and lol for breeding a monster. Congrats. You look so good at 33 weeks, even at 36 weeks, love the belly phodies.
Emsmom, if I remember correctly your sister is due in SA any day now. So glad you enjoyed your babyshower !! Hope your daughter is better, although it sounded like she is. Oh this is so exciting, good luck with the labour !!
Betty, how is your little Matt’s wound – on his arm I think ? Glad he enjoyed his party so much. Oh you should remember to take pics of your belly. Have you found linen for the Moses basket yet?
Kimika, hehehehe so funny and gross of Reuben to squirt you with poo. Couldn’t help laughing. Thank goodness the drs were nice enough to change the dates and your med bills could be sorted. Re hubby tasting the breast milk….lol….I am sure mine will want to do the same. Aah the angel kiss is so cute. Mmmmm, hope you were able to get a solution with your dogs. Thank you for the interesting post re the poo !! Glad Reuben is better. Who was your dr who did the epi, I’d like to ask my dr about it on Friday. Re me going normal, I wasn’t sure at first what I wanted to do, but after the antenatal classes I was leaning towards natural and my dr said everything is perfect for normal delivery, so I am going to try it, but I am open minded that anything could happen and a c/s is still possible.
Cath, I just read your first day at home experience and you make it sound so fun and easy, I can’t wait for L to come now. You sound so happy and W sounds like an angel and he is gorgeous. Oh and re the emotions, our antenatal instructor said it is normal, she even told our DH’s to be supportive and understanding even if they don’t understand – it is apparently the changing hormones – but seems like you are over that stage now. Glad everything went well with the circumcision. Is the bleeding belly button better yet ? Not sure if you know, but I see you are struggling to find time to eat, we were advised to drink Ensure if this should happen, it is like a meal replacement with all the necessary nutrients / vitamins for breastfeeding moms.
Mistymom, red spots on my belly disappeared after two days, thank you for asking. Congrats on your prize from the mediclinic, think the CPR course could be really helpful. I absolutely love your 32 week photo, you have a beautiful bump. I feel exactly like you re the epidural, after the antenatal classes, it just sounds like you are more in control, so I also decided that I will wait until I am in labour, but speak to your gynae, a friend told me last tonight that there is not always an anaesthetist at the hospital, so you might have to decide before you go in. LOL on lying to DH re UIF – I am only now busy with my UIF docs.
Karin, seems the house hunting is not going that well, but I am sure you will find the perfect place soon. You had a beautiful 39 week bump. So glad you are both doing so well. Thank you for all those pics, she is beautiful !!
Joli, ouch on the sore breast, but glad you could sort it out fast. Good luck with Megan and the swimming lessons. Thank goodness you were able to sort out the UIF stuff. Have you been to the Dentist yet ? I am sure your photography will take of really well – Holding thumbs that you don’t have to go back to work full time.
Faw, sorry to hear about your dad, but maybe a home is the best place for him, at least there are people there that knows what to do and you and your mom can relax a bit more when baby arrives. Aaah, I am so relieved to hear about how well the appointment with the mjc went, soon your ex will be out of your life for good. Schatsie, re the pubic pain, ouch !! Wow, your tummy has really grown. A is a nice size already, congrats. Glad the back support thing relieves some pain for you. Hi Amyb and welcome, wow, you must be so excited and scared at the same time. Congrats on having a little girl !! My SIL had gestational diabetes while pregnant and with a whole lot of monitoring her little boy is almost a year now and she is pregnant again with a little girl now, almost 18 weeks. Yes, it is normal for the edd to change with every scan, but I am told, the edd from your first scan is the most correct one, but not sure how correct that is.
Areej, oh no, bed rest is awe full, good luck, I truly hope all goes well for you and baby.

Wow, we had a whole lot of babies born this month, I love it !! Mommies please don’t be shy with the phodies.
And thank you everyone on the swaddling advice. My antenatal instructor also suggested to swaddle baby, but to leave hands close to face. RE the wedge and the sleep positioner, our antenatal instructor said that the wedge is essential, but the sleep positioner not so much – she also said baby should sleep on back with head to side, but I thought baby should sleep on side, which is the right way then?
I am so jealous of all of you having mom’s to help you. You are so blessed !!

AFM: I had a really sore experience last night, L was twisting and turning like crazy and I had immense pressure downwards, but it was just for a couple of minutes. When she moved this morning I realised the just turned sideways, the bum is now on the left hand side and the feet on the right.

I always said I am not going to be one of those preggy ladies who lives in there hubby’s clothes, but suddenly my clothes aren’t that comfortable anymore and when I am home, I’d rather wear my hubby’s T-shirts than my own, it is just so comfortable and loose.
DH said over the weekend that I should be watching him for depression after L is born, because my belly would shrink back to normal in no time after the birth, but his cannot.

Wow - I think in future I am going to have to read with a paper and pen next to me to make notes of what I want to comment on - LOL!! My brain can't keep up with everyones fingers!!

Karin - What awesome pics. Did you use a flash? Did it not scare K? I have been wondering about that.

Rakker - That is very cute about your LB's hair. I was bald until 3 years but it looks like Tessa is very hairy, 5 weeks ago she had long hair already!!

Joli - I am also going the government route for jabs. I have heard that you can't miss any or be late (date wise) otherwise they boot you off the program, so perhaps let paed know you going gov route. I hope Callum settles soon.

Cath - It still sounds like you are loving it all, even when it doesn't go "right"!!
