Hi ladies
Man I am exhausted....
I cooked the lasagne last night - what a mission making lasagne from scratch instead of from a box

took 2 hours!!! (ok yes I am a little slow as I take forever to prepare etc). But we have dinner for 2 nights and 2 lasagne's in the freezer. It didnt look like it was going to turn out well - I ran out of sauce!!! But it actually does taste quite nice - not bad for a first time!
Have marinaded the chicken for the chicken curry.
So today I will cook the chicken curry, cottage pie, spinach, ricotta and mushroom quiche and a chicken, asparagus and potatoe pie. (well that's the plan anyway)
My back and legs were VERY sore after standing for so long yesterday cooking (plus the counter is just a bit too high for me so it's uncomfortable to cook plus the bump in the way).
I slept terribly. Woke every 30-45 minutes and just felt like I was really having to force myself to sleep. DH woke at 2:30am and thought he would take a sleeping pill and then get up at 6am for work...so I had to explain it doesnt work like that!!!
so I think I may need to have another long nap this morning...
EmsMom - I wonder if you aren't having strong braxton hicks as opposed to labour contractions? Strange you havent dilated at all. But on the other hand - great that Spec can bake a little longer and perhaps wait for your sister to arrive!!! That will be really special. So excited for you....maybe that's why I didn't sleep!
Vix thanks for the recipe - was going to send you a message asking for it. And yes, those people on FB REALLY got the better of me last night. Between being frustrated with them, the cooking and DH coming home late, I was in a foul mood last night!! DH just laughed and said "ah the good old pregnancy moods". I was not impressed but inside I was thinking "yip...amazing how they take over your body!"
Was thinking of all these witty comments to say back to those people on FB....but decided I was really going to come across seriously bitchy if I did!
Claire how u feeling now? any more BH? you better not have your baby before me...hehe
Cath - nice one on the sleep and weight gain!! well done Mommy!!!!! I would say an hour sounds normal for the whole feeding, changing, settling routine. (from what friends have told me). And as for when to put him down - that depends on you. If you put him in the crib and he is awake, but quiet and you are happy to leave him to fall asleep in his own time, then do that. But if you enjoy letting him sleep on your chest first, then do that! there is no right or wrong way.
Kimika lucky you for the 6 hour stretch!! and let us know Reuben's weight once you know

Will definitely look into the stretch and sweep if its just a bit more uncomfortable than an internal. However, I also think it may be a pointless exercise if there are no changes yet. If my cervix has softened a bit, I think I'll go for it.
Tazzy hope you sort out that bleeding...rather go for the d&c if necessary. quick and easy and you're home the same day. I always wonder how they can leave something behind during a c-section since they can see into the uterus?!
ok so I THINK Matt is beginning to engage...but I dont want to get too excited. I will post a pic from 6 days ago to now. Think my tummy looks lower but I dont feel any pelvic pressure....and I am sure before it felt like he was lower and the next day he felt up high again. Let me know what you think!
