oh yes H-buzz had her little boy at 19h07 weighing 2.27kg. so tiny!
he was on oxygen but she said the paed had already said to her that it's likely baby can go back to her in a hour (from when I chatted to her)

And yip - no niggles...I feel like I could easily be like 4 months pregnant only. Not sure it's a good thing...Want to start feeling like something is happening!!

Getting annoyed that people on FB are telling me to 'chill' and 'enjoy the pregnancy'. I never once said I wasnt enjoying being pregnant. I love it. I just really want to meet Matthieu now and be a mommy and kiss him and squish his cheeks!! hehe

I bought all the groceries to start preparing freezer meals tomorrow. Think it's rather amusing that I will be cooking! (I dont usually cook anything exotic or exciting!)

Kimika I am petrified of stretch and sweep!!! EEk what if its REALLY sore??? I guess since I'll be 38 weeks 4 days they could do it on Thursday? But I havent asked them about it so not sure what their take is on it. If I wait until my visit the following week, my mom arrives that evening so not sure it's wise to do it at the next visit.
so perhaps Thursday if they are prepared to do it and if I'm brave!

Have been trying desperately to contact that massage lady as I wanted that induction massage on Wednesday and I cant get hold of her at all...so think I'll need to try find someone else. pity as she came recommended and apparently lives in my area. and now I have to rely on a google search.

I dont think M has engaged...babies start engaging from 34-36 weeks so I am a little concerned. I hope there isnt a problem with the shape of my pelvis on the inside that he isnt able to engage...

Lucy, hehe.. so much for my attempt at a regular routine hey? But the sleep specialist lady did say the other day that time is not so biggie, its more a thing of having the same bedtime routine going.. but Im sure she didnt mean bathtime at 10

Schatsie, having two kiddies under 2yrs is hectic, but not as bad as I was thinking it would be.. I was really worried the last couple of months but we are coping very well. Obviously some days will be a little bit worse but I just love having the two. It was so amazing to have one little guy running around but now that I have two and we are a family of 4 it just feels soooo right! Im sure you will love having more kiddies, you always sound so excited for your baby coming. And Im def doing nr 3!! Nr 4 has been cancelled due to high costs of raising kids.. so if I win the lottery there will def be 4

Faw, glad to hear that your little guy is latching now. My oldest one also sleeps like a crazy monkey!! Had him in bed with us last night because of the thunder and woke up with him facing our feet on top of the bedding

HI Girls,
I am on top of the moon to be home. I am in the honeymoon period and hope it lasts. Last night I had Abdul Hakeem screaming forever last night and Sulaiman woke up with all the noise and sat crying next to me… it was as if he felt sorry for Abdul Hakeem. It was so cute, but not much fun because then my dad was yelling at me from his bedroom. So my mom came to my rescue and I took AH to the lounge and made a bed there and eventually at 2am AH and I were able to sleep, he cried a lot from 10pm and I gave him a dummy which he took to straight away. At 6am I was up again. My mom slept with Sulaiman so that he would sleep. So I didn’t get to sleep with my big boy, but just as well because my mom says she got elbows in the eyes and feet in the tummy, so I would have been yelping in pain.
Breastfeeding with a nipple shield is working very well and he lies on my boob sucking a lot for 20 minutes at a time. I am doing ice compression on my boobs to reduce the swelling and pain. The one boob is still very hard, hot and painful though. I have stopped the cup feeds because one of the nurses saw my dolly partons and said that it would be better to give up the cup and try get him on the breast instead and I knew I had the nipple shields here.
I asked my mom today if I was going to be included in the funeral and my aunt did have plans for me to be involved, so I am not angry about that any more. I know that my bro has to push my dad behind the coffin in his wheelchair and my mom has to do a reading. They are having the funeral at St James Catholic Church… I told my mom that it was crazy to have it there and that time because if they waited til 3pm they could have parked in the school grounds. There is no parking there and they are busy with road works… ai ai I feel sorry for all the people going to the funeral cos they are going to have a tough time. I am quite excited though to be seeing my cousins.
A friend has donated a ¾ bed to me and my mom went to go fetch it so for the 1st time in months I can sleep in a nice comfy bed instead of on a mattress on the floor. I am not sure yet where AH will sleep though cos I don’t want all three of us on a bed. Sulaiman loves to move around and take the whole bed. I have a single base but no mattress for it so I could use that and put it next to us, but I first have to find a mattress.
I got on the scale and all I lost was 5kg??!!! I don’t mind the weight though because I really needed it and now I weigh 52kg instead of the 45kg I was when I got here.
My iron levels were 10.3 when I went into labour and 2 days ago it had already gone up to 11.5 so I am very happy about that. Haven’t checked my blood pressure but in hospital it was back to normal!!! My pulse was still high the day before yesterday at 100 beats per minute and the nurses gave me funny looks. LOL. I said I am used to that pulse rate. Should check it again sometime soon to see if it has normalised.
Thank you for all the nice words about my son. He is very hairy compared to his brother. His hair is much longer. The other difference is that he has a double chin and Sulaiman never had one til recently.
Joli I hope that you are able to do your photography without having to go to work.
I cannot remember which person it was that had taken their paperwork for the uif and was hoping the money would go in quick… I doubt that you will see money until you are either back at work or when you are already three months down the line. That is the general trend with maternity UIF.
Misty hope that your feet reduce in size. Mine went down but at the moment are swollen again.
Betty I am glad that you are making progress with the baby’s room.
Amy I think the bruising is from the clamps (my mom told me she thinks its from that as well as she could see what they were fdoing.) and the doctors were doing one ceasar after the next (and it was already 9pm when I went in) and changing people around and making some people wait. It was caos there with them not having beds. The one lady had to wait 2 days for a bed because her case wasn’t urgent enough. My one friend I made had to wait over 24 hours for her operation. She was only 34 weeks but had high blood pressure story… pre ecliseemia or something to that effect and had gestational diabetis. She was so angry that they made her wait so long. (her baby is well, but is under oxygen because they didn’t give the steroids for the lungs) But yesterday the doctor came in to thank her for being so patient because they were able to save a woman and her 2 twins. The one twin almost died and the mom needed 8 litres of blood. So she gave up her place to save someones life. We both sat and wept afterwards because we were so happy that this lady and her children are alive. If there had been beds available they would have allowed me to have oxytocin and carry on with my labour.. so I was glad they didn’t because by then I was exhausted and just wanted it to be over with eventhough I knew I would be in pain afterwards… but anything to stop the contractions!!! I lay in bed afterwards with three blankets and my son and shook with cold for 4 hours afterwards. I didn’t enjoy that either… I have never been that cold and never want to feel that cold again.
Joli I also still have pain and am taking pain medication.. my mom had a fit today when she saw how much I was taking.. I looked at her and said that in hospital I was getting the same plus morphine and still had pain. I will get myprodol when what I have is finished if I am still in pain.
I am coping well during the day with Sulaiman at the moment cos baby AH just eats, drinks and sleeps and isn’t awake much at the moment. When baby AH sleeps I play with my son cautiously cos he hurts me unintentionally. My mom yells at me if I try pick up anything that is not baby AH. She doesn’t want me carrying anything at any time if possible. When can I start to drive again???
Emsmom good luck with the birth!!! Hope you don’t have stories like mine!!!

Went to have a nap (which ended up being 3 hours long!) and wake up to this!!! OOHH man I am so excited for you! Hope everything will be fine with your darling Spec!!! I am saying it's a girl

BettyF nice weight of baby!! Are you having a c-section?

Schatsie you will definitely find a physio who can help you out!! Even with the pain being down there. they will have exercises and stretches that reach that pain
