Hi ladies
Thank you all so much for being here for me - you honestly have no idea what that means to me and how you keep me stable!
I appreciate all the comments, thoughts and advice xx
I really hope DH realises this is not a game. I think one of our biggest problems is that in the french culture, they dont have kids until they are in their 30's - and he feels like he is so young to be 'ending his social life'. Well, as BettyF said, we use to party a lot and socialise a lot. And trust me - there are days I CRAVE going partying - so badly that sometimes I wish he was born so I could leave him with a babysitter and go out (chances are I'll never do this once he's actually here though!!). But ya...he is not alone in feeling scared of losing his social life. The thing is, for me, I feel like I now have a responsibility and this is my new life and that is that. Whereas for him - it feels to me that he thinks, yes, Meags has a new responsibility now, but he can still go out. If that is the case, he must realise that I will never see him as a real Dad....
I guess I'll be skyping him soon - quite curious to see what he thinks of the 'novel' I sent him
Claire -- ooohh you got a bi-lobular placenta!!!! We are ALWAYS so intrigued when we deliver a placenta like that as they are not that common

There isn't really anything significant about it....just that instead of the placenta being round or oval, it has 2 separate rounds or ovals that remain 'complete' by the membranes. Really, in a vaginal delivery, we would just make sure that each lobe is complete and that nothing broke off inside.
other than that...there isn't much to it!! But it's still cool
Claire I have thought quite a lot about mentioning something to my midwife. I'm so silly though as if I am not feeling down at that particular moment, I forget to bring it up. I remember at around 20 weeks wanting to ask for something as I really felt sad - but also never ended up doing it. Maybe I must write it on my list of questions and just ask for it next visit.
Tazzy so glad to hear everything is going so well for you!!! That is really awesome. And WOW on 56cm!!! That is flippin tall!!!! You got a model in the making
Karin - I agree. I will not walk out this marriage before trying everything. Even if that does mean maybe going to stay with my mom or a friend for a month or so to make him realise this is serious. I often think that when I have these talks with him, he thinks I just feel that way because I'm tired/hormonal/lonely or something. So I am a bit concerned he'll blame this time on feeling lonely here, being close to delivery etc.
4 more sleeps for you before you bring another princess onto our thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and yes - then it is a bit of a wait to see who is next. I reckon Faw (we never hear from Driekie anymore

) and perhaps Lucy could be before Anje and I depending on her c-section date and if Anje and I go post dates!!
Schatsie that pain sounds so sore

I really feel sorry for you. It is so horrible to have a pain that nothing relieves!!! I feel VERY sorry for myself when I have the rib or back pain and I almost start becoming hysterical when I cant make it stop! It is really sweet that your DH is so concerned about you - mine doesnt even give me a second glance!
Cath - my parents got divorced and my mom met a man who is nothing but perfect. Never in my life have I met a man who is so kind, considerate, caring and loving. And yes, obviously the divorce was horrible etc. But my mom ended up with a man who is a much better husband than my dad was and she is so much happier! I really want to have that without needing to be divorced!! I want my first marriage to be as wonderful as that!
Hehe re you crying over not enough fish! oh my gosh you are so sweet! Dont be hard on yourself

allow the tears to flow and dont be surprised how it seems never ending!! it will come to an end soon

and glad you got through the bathing!! I have to admit that I am so glad to be experienced with newborns as at least when M screams during the bath time, it wont upset me! I remember teaching a mom how to bath a baby (at the orphanage so it wasnt even her own baby!) and she cried as much as the baby throughout the bathing!! The baby was crying (because thats just what they do!!) and she was hysterical that he wouldnt stop and she thought she was doing something wrong and hurting him and kept apologising to him. shame - I hope when her baby was born she managed!!!
Faw congrats on your son wanting to potty train and good luck with it!!!
It's so sweet. Bling really knows me. For the last 3 weeks he has slept on the couch during the night - but since DH first upset me when he left for Germany, Bling has spent every night on the bed right up against me. And he has stayed there the whole night. Whenever I am sad or crying, Bling sits with me. They are amazing things animals!
