Shame Schatsie! It sounds horrible... must be sciatica pain...? Ouch... hope it eases soon for you, really, I've heard it can last for months, seriously hope yours don't. If it doesn't get better maybe ask your dr for advice rather.

Schatsie - Ouch that sounds horrible. Hope today is much better.

Claire - Wow that sounds weird. But it sounds like your gynae wasn't too concerned which is a good sign. I should imagine it would have greater implications if you were having natural in terms of a bigger risk of blocking the cervix. We'll have to wait for Meags to wake up from Lala land. You really have had a time of it, shame!

Kimika - I think the thought doesn't gross me out but the look of it does!!! So I'm with you ...... not tempted at this point. But now DH .... hee hee!

Misty - How hysterical, thanks for sharing.

Tazzy - Well done. That is an awesome recovery. So so so happy for you. Amelia does sound like an angel. Oh and by the way when you've had your baba, you have to talk about yourself ...... that is what we want!!! So do not think it is selfish!! :woohoo:

Karin - I am sure yours will be just as fab this time too!! Are you next?

Jessica - I LOVE the hair ......... boy oh boy did you have heartburn? Did you see the hair on the scan before he was born?

Lovely day to all :)

Misty that laughing baby is SOOO cute!!!

Oh Meags, I really feel for you! Do feel free to vent here - we really don't mind!! I went through a very unhappy previous marriage, so I do understand your frustration! Your husband lying to you is just NOT on! That will really destroy any marraige - and was in fact what destroyed mine! A marriage without trust is just not doable! Good idea that you wrote the letter to him. I agree with Cath, give him an ultimatum, then when you get to that point you will have a clear conscience that you at least tried everything to save your marriage in case you do decide to leave him. If things don't improve I would suggest you go live with your mom or a friend for a few months - maybe losing you and his son will be a wake up call for him since nothing else seems to be helping!

AFM, we went for dinner with some of my friends last night, but I had such pressure/pain "down under" that I couldn't sit for long and we left early. Then when we got home I couldn't even lie on the bed, not in any position. Eventually I was standing next to the bed, with my arms leaning on the bed! I'm sure I looked quite funny! :) Poor DH was in a state because there was nothing he could do to help me. He even wanted to take me to hospital, but I told him I'm sure no one can actually help me with this pain. It was sore again when I got up this morning, so I just hope it doesn't get as bad as yesterday! I will put my feet up on a chair again later as it does seem to help.

Morning ladies. :)

Wow what a week its been so far... two new babies, one blue, one pink and they are so beautiful! :) :)

Meags - shame hun...my heart is breaking for you... really, this is so unfair and unneccesary right now! I wish there was something more we could do for you except listen and pray. But that we can at least do.
The first year of marriage really is the hardest, I agree... for me it was the first two years, even after living together for three years before that. Been very close to throwing in that towel a few times, but through the grace of God we got through and it's now very good.
Keep the faith and don't give up, not until you've tried everything possible. Writing the letter is excellent! You guys have been through a very hectic time lately and its not going to come right overnight, so keep your chin up and concentrate on positive things.
I'm so hoping and praying that he will see the light soon and give more towards the marriage and little M coming soon.

Mistymom - my sympathy on not being able to sleep! That clip is so cute and funny! Thanx for sharing, its adorable!

Tazzy - Oh its great news that you are coping so well after the c-section! :) It was the same for me the last time, so Im hoping it will be so again, it's great being able to walk around a few hours later, I'm sure it helps the healing process.
So cute about Hannah loving her little sister already. :) Soon you'll all be home and will settle in a new routine, shame, she misses you and wants the baby home too.

Claire - sjoe... never heard of the placenta splitting in two before!? It sounds bad actually, but if you're dr is okay with it for now... Keep us updated. Luckily it sounds like your LB is doing great so far! :)

Tazzy - Amelia is so gorgeous! Congratulations once again mommy!

Meags - I was thinking of you at my antenatal class last night re PND, the doctor doing it for us said there is something that they can give you for depression in pregnancy, please speak to your midwife or GP, if you feel like this now it may only get worse, because yes you are strong but you are human. I am glad you have written a letter - it is not like you have changed in any way since getting married and becoming pregnant. Lying in any form is going to breed mistrust and may lead to devastating consequences no matter how long you have been married for. I only wish there was some wand we could bop your DH on the head with to realise how lucky he is to have you and your son on the way. Please keep venting as we really do care :)

I wanted to ask if anyone has heard of their placenta splitting in 2? Mine has been like this since 28 weeks and my gynae has noted it but what does it mean?? Meags maybe you can help with some info here?? LB is now 2kg as of yeaterdays appointment so very happy.

Meags i feel for you because my first year of marriage was very similar to yours. My husband was working in ct and we were in caledon. He wouldn't come home for 3 or 4 days at a time and would have his phone off at night and he was working day shift. It turned out he was having an affair and i didn't know it and he doesn't know i know it. My whole pregnancy i did on my own and paid for all my gynae visits etc. So i had no husband and no financial support from him. I hope he reads your letter and understands before its too late for you and him. Sadly i have gone way past that. Hugs to you and everyone else

1st son born 8 april 2009. 2nd son born 10 march 2011. Live in cape town. I got divorced on the 30th of june 2011. Remarried and now happily trying for number 3. www.doulaservices.co.za
