thanks guys!! It WAS rice cereal but he was only constipated for one day. I am going to start veggies on Sat then he'll have been on the rice cereal for a week...however, I was told to introduce fruit first!?!? what to do!?

Cath, maybe you should try cooking veggies for him. I have read that Butternut is a great starter food for babies.

Cath, someone told me the rice cereal gives them cramps. Not sure if that is what you gave to William.

Ladies LOVELY to see the pics and hear all the news!!! I'm still feeling a bit overwhelmed re the solids but it's helped to read all your inputs which I've printed!

Meags as usual Matt is too gorgeous for words. I just know that sometime soon they are going to find what's bothering him. Glad marriage counselling going well!

Missesmom, William still as good as gold but like you have noticed slight change since he started solids (rice cereal) bad tummy cramps 2nd night and does now wake up and cry (briefly) once. he is almost permanently in the bed with us now my dh is getting irritated, luckily I have the excuse that the cot isn't yet made up as we moved house! he is an absolute and utter angel!

Meags - ouch with arm..yes MAtt is looking really chubby and cute! Hope the paed may have some ans re eating.

Well after yesterdays "first day of spring weather" in CT (was 33 when i got home) today is back to wind, rain and freezing. Was supper excited as yesterday was the first day Ryan was in T shirt and shorts and we played outside!

Getting excited about solids now...cant wait to get out my avent stemer and blender in one thingy and start cooking for my baby. Think will strat that at 5 months (in about 2 weeks) and in the mean time increase his cereal to morning and night.
