Faw, I agree with Cath, you are so brave and a real role model for other women in the same position.

Cath, ooh so you are maybe next, can’t wait for all the long awaited babies to arrive. Enjoy your maternity leave while it lasts.

Wow Lucy, what a big baby if I may say so – sounds like she is definitely healthy. Congrats !!

Karin, wow you have gorgeous phodies and a beautiful family !!

Meags, you have a beautiful bump !!

Kimika, wow it sounds amazing, so am I correct when I assume you had no pain meds ? Cannot wait for the phodies.

AFM: We did the hospital tour this afternoon and I am so glad I did, I am now more relaxed about the environment.

Have a great day tomorrow ladies !!

Hi girls!!!!!

Ok just want to quickly say hi and update and then Ill see if I can cath up on the 3 pages you chatted :)

All I can say is WOW what an amazing experience!!! :) :) I wish I had time to give you the whole birthstory now.. but will try type it up a bit later on.

It really went soo fast, I was still joking with hubby because he was packing my stuff into the car without me even finished packing them :) Hey and I even got to do the veet thing while having contractions! So much for my brazilian appointment..

Anyway, the real contractions prob started about 19:00 and I started timing them just before 20:00, but they were so irregular and short that I didnt really think it was serious.. thought if I take a bath they will prob go away. But hubby insisted we just go to labour ward to check it out.. I even told the nurse I want to go back home :) Thank goodness we left when we did ;)

He was born 00:50!! Exactly 2hrs after arriving at the hospital!!

He weighed 2.9kg and is 54cm with headcircum of 33cm.

I only have a small cut, I think about 3 stiches but its not that bad, nothing a icepack and some painkillers cant handle.

Im feeling sooo good, cant believe it! Slept a bit after the birth and had bath and was walking around just after 6 this morning.

Ag and little Reuben is sooo cute man.. yip he has dark hair.. little bit of resemblence to his older bro but his own little features already :) He latched well and suckled well and is snoozing away peacefully now. The breastfeeding consultant is coming in tomorrow morn at 8 to help me get perfectly settled with breastfeeding.

All in all Im over the moon with how things turned out! I really wanted the exact experience I got!! The dear Lord was good to me in knowing how much I wanted this. And my little son is all healthy and wonderful :) hehe.. cant believe he is born on Valentines day!!??

Joli, thanks for giving the girls updates at those terrible hours of the night ;) Glad I could give Callum a little friend with dark hair :)

Emsmom, shoo you are going to looooveeee di lovvveee the hypnobirth! I used the breathing and relaxation techniques and they are awesome! Wow the slow breathing works sooo well for the surges and really makes them more effective, just like my book said :) (I was reading my highligted bits while waiting for the veet to work) Also the breathing baby down is amazing!

Will go read the other posts now but little guy has to feed soon so wont post personals..

xxx

Jessica I'm busy chatting to you here and on FB!

ok so I suggested induction but now I see you're previous caesar so they cant induce you...
so you have to choose either to wait it out or to book a caesar.
I havent heard any stats on it or heard much about it, but I wonder if the scar is at risk of rupturing if baby gets really large?

ok now I'm chatting to you on FB so I'll continue there!!!

Joli - I dont think my tummy is big  in that one pic I think it is (33 weeks) but generally I really dont think it's grown much since 25 weeks or so!!!!

hi everyone

well went for my check up today and according to doc's measurements Riley is around the 4.1kg mark (and that was the lowest weight he got). He is advising that I strongly consider skipping the "wait to go natural" and rather do a c-sec on 1 March. I'm at a loss now? I told him that when I sneeze or cough I have to hold my stomach as it hurts - apparently that is pretty normal for previous c-sec scars.

At least now I understand the constant need to pee & the backache.

I'm seeing him again on Wednesday next week so I'll see what he says then.

HELP what do I do!?
