MistyMom - the room look awesome. Also love all the belly pics.

Meags, be careful with your sore back, my back was also so sore before I went into labour. Still told Kirsten that very same morning re my back. Is you DH still going away when you are 37 weeks pregnant???

Faw - sorry can't remember - are you expecting a boy or a girl?

Well I've got so many issues re medical aid - it's a nightmare. The guy who did the spinal is not contracted to medical aids, so I had to pay him R3900 cash (R900 of this is just because it was an emergency call out). Well I pd him and must now claim back. But then yesterday I got the paeditritian bill - also not contracted in - they pd her so far nearly R9000 and now I must still pay her over R8000 (but it's all in hospital procedures). I'm on Classic Saver on Discovery, so it's one of the highest hospital plans! Then I also had to pay his visit to the paedi which I did, but honestly I don't have R8000. And yesterday was the 3rd time I called Discovery re my PMB - now they telling me they won't pay the gynae fee from PMB because PMB was only approved after I went to the gynae, but the gynae had to sign the PMB forms so what was I supposed to do???!! I only went to the gynae once anyways and now they are giving me problems. So I spoke to a manager and then to another manger and now they are re looking and the whole thing and will get back to me soonest! I'm so annoyed. I even pd all my midwives cash out of my pocket. Callum's hospital bills and mine were at least paid, all together over R100 000. But I've been on Discovery for over 10 years and my previous births didn't cost them must as I had natural, totally drug free deliveries so I'm in for a big fight with them!

My DH is also irritating me a bit. He keeps thinking I'm sitting at home doing nothing mentioning that maybe I should do this or this or this. Argh men!

Well Megan is starting ballet classes today. Shame wanted to buy her an outfit but the teacher said we should wait a bit and just send her in her normal costume. Kayla was doing really well at ballet, but she has stopped as she is now doing karate and I can't pay for ballet, karate and swimming so she had to choose between ballet and karate - my heart is a bit sore about it as she really was very good at ballet, but will see, maybe will get her back into ballet when finances are a bit better.

Good morning.
No ghost stories today. :-) canal walk is great for me, but i have to bring my son with if that is ok. 5th is also good for me after 12.
Betty i did the summons myself at family court in wynberg. I don't have money for an attorney and i will have to go through legal aid, but i have been told that wynberg is a very good court. I am waiting for a long procedure to be honest. This is why i was so resistant to get married civil. My parents refused to accept my islamic marriage so was forced to do it that way. So now im cursing to be honest that i allowed myself to be put into this mess. Islamic divorce is much less messy. But we see what his thing has to say. Have a great day.

1st son born 8 april 2009. 2nd son born 10 march 2011. Live in cape town. I got divorced on the 30th of june 2011. Remarried and now happily trying for number 3. www.doulaservices.co.za

Morning ladies!

Oh kimika yup must be thrilled! Hope you enjoyed ur last night in hospital.... Can't wait to see pictures.

Faw- Shew so you see things... I would have gotten a huge fright. It sounds like your nubby wants to defend the Summons, so expect a Notice of intention to Defend and then his Plea later... Did you just go to the Southern Divorce( family court) yourself? Or did you get an Attorney to assist you? If he does defend it then the procedure can get quite drawn out... But at least you got the ball rolling!

Karin- hope 2day is cooler for you. Luckily we got a fan from my brother for Christmas. It goes on as soon as I get home from work and stays on till bed time. Crazy being in the last stages of pregnancy at the hottest time of the year!

Misty- would like to meet for a coffee. I should be able to make the 5th. It's my little boys 3 rd birthday party on the 6th, hopefully I can work it around the baking etc. Canal walk suites me.
I am planning on working as long as I possibly can. Perhaps until 15 April.

Is anyone claiming Uif? Last time it was a nightmare for me. Thinking of using Uif assist or some kind of agency. Do any of you have experience in this?

Misty- your bump is growing nicely! Love the nursery pictures. It looks stunning!

Meags- the glucose test sounds like quite an ordeal....when do you get the results. Hopefully the don't charge too much. Are you going to a private hospital? How does it work there? Or do only the non US have to pay?
I am hoping you got your much needed massage...yay on getting the cot! Sounds like everything is coming together for you... I am so pleased.

Have a wonderful day everyone...

hi ladies!

before I forget (while MistyMom and I chat on FB :p ) for first time mom's who have never seen a mom post delivery...you will look 6-7 months pregnant after the birth!!! You will think there is a second baby that still needs to come out!!! The uterus is still very bulky post delivery... so warn your DH too!

so I had the 3 hour glucose test. It was pretty awful!
Had my last meal by 9pm last night and had to fast for the first blood today. So they drew the blood at 8:25. Then I had to drink a glucose drink (it was so sweet I wanted to vomit) and then have blood drawn another 3 times, each an hour apart. By 9:25 I was feeling hideous! I really wanted to vomit and felt so lightheaded and wanted to faint. But I didnt want to tell the midwife because I HAD to go register at the hospital today. And if she knew I felt that way, she wouldnt have let me leave her office...
So off I went for my hospital tour and registration before the 3rd lot of bloods was drawn. Actually felt a bit better walking around rather than just sitting in the waiting room.
So I registered and then forgot to get the reg number for the insurance company...sigh...will call and get it tomorrow. my memory and concentration was shocking today.

back is killing me...in desperate need of a good old massage! might ask DH tonight...it's just so sore :(

oh yes I forgot to tell you ladies!!!!! So at my first visit 2 weeks ago, they took about 10 tubes of blood and wanted to test for EVERYTHING. I was a bit annoyed as half the tests I already had done and had my results with me but she says they re-do them in 3rd trimester. ok fine...so we do them. we got the account the other day.....ready for it...$1140!!!! Thats about R8000!!!!!!!! DH almost collapsed. and that is excluding the 'specialised' test they sent to the genetics lab to test for cystic fibrosis. I can imagine that will be about $500 on its own. plus then today's 4 blood tests and she forgot to do RPR last visit...sigh...just never ending!
Our medical aid is french, so we have to pay cash and claim back. even for the delivery. so I've paid the midwife in full. today the hospital says they need $2500 before I arrive for delivery! Eish!

Cats are desperate to go out. Bling walks around crying ALL bloody night long - I am sure he is trying to find an escape route. Minky sits at the window all day staring out...shame...maybe tomorrow I'll let them have a wonder around out there for an hour or so...problem is, there is no soil. it's all covered with bark and leaves etc. garden service is coming next week to fix it all so then I'll let them out (well its my excuse for delaying things...)

OOOOHHH my cot is ready!!! We can go collect it :) I am going to see if it'll fit in my boot...otherwise will have to wait until Saturday to use DH's bakki :(

Kimika Reuben is SO cute I could just eat him up!!!
You and Joli have made me so broody I went and bought the raspberry tea leaf and evening primrose oil capsules today!

Helloo!!

Meags, Im still in hospital. I got a extra night because they only booked me in after 12 when I came in ;) Dr said if I wanted to I can go home but really I felt I need the extra hands and rest cause once Im home I have another little busy-body to take care of! I miss my blondy sooo much and cried my eyes out this morning when he left, but he is sooo totally unaware of the fact that Im not around :)

Your bump is gorgeous.. looks like its dropping..

Anje, no I still had the epidural, but a very very light one. So I cant say it was 100% natural and drug free, but for me it was the perfect experience. That last bit was just too intense ;)

Karin, aww your pics are sooo gorgeous! You look stunningly preggie :)

Ag drat.. I only got to read upto the begin of 2nd last page. My battery for laptop is almost going :(

Going home tomorrow and will catchup then and post pics.

Posted pics on FB, also there is a pic on the meditwinkle babies website, just look under Reuben Smit :)
