Oh Joli, I forgot to add, re your milk not coming in properly yet, my mom mentioned that the dr put her on Eglynol after her babies' births. Apparently is is also a anti-depressant/Tranquiliser which also stimulates milk production.

Hey girls

I was just about to say how quiet it is around here today and then Joli and Meags posted!

Joli your son is really gorgeous! I hope you can take him home real soon! It must be SO hard to be at home and having to leave him at the hospital! Don't think I could cope with being separated from him after having him in my tummy for so long!!

Have your girls at least seen their brother yet?

Meags thanks for the birthday wishes! Glad to hear you FINALLY got your furniture money! You will be far less stressed once you have a decently furnished house again! Living in a hotel gets too much after a few days.

AFM: nothing much to report. Having a busy day at the office as punishment for taking off yesterday. :) Feeling rather tired and my body is feeling stiff and sore, so I'm looking forward to a quiet evening at home!

hi ladies

gosh i always want to do a proper update and never have time...
we finally got the friggin money yesterday so late afternoon my mom and i rushed off to Ikea and after 3 hours, bought everything and it's getting delivered anytime between 8am-12pm today so i really need to rush to get to the house now as it's 7:30am.

I am so glad we have furniture...we will spend the day mounting everything as it ALL comes in flat packs.

will only start buying baby stuff next week I think. gosh I dont even have a bag of nappies or bum cream or anything!!!!!

schatsie happy birthday for yesterday
kimika i cannot believe you are 35 weeks!!! (and cath!!)
EmsMom - so lovely to see how well you've raised little Em :)
Lucy - I carry VERY low too. will take a photo on sunday for my 32 week one and show u what i mean. plus with your baby lying sideways, it will look lower so dont stress :) and as kaylae said, baby can drop into the pelvis and you can still carry well past due date!
joli - callum is just GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!

I still have that pain but it isnt as severe so I think it was a pulled muscle. still coughing too but seeing a midwife next Tuesday and she can prescribe so will see what she thinks.

ok ladies I will do a proper post tonight!

Hi All! How are you all doing. Sjoe, I don't have time to do personals, but will try to read through all of your posts (or most of it as soon as I can).

Anyone else had their baby? :P :P

I'm doing well. Things are much better. Callum is also doing well. He is now just in hospital to pick up weight and to learn how to drink and to ensure all is well. They even test the food his body is absorbing, i.e. so much protein, so much carbs etc. etc. etc.

It's a bit hectic cause we have to drive up and down to hospital and having 2 other kids that are not allowed at the hospital makes it a bit challenging. Shame he sleeps most of the time.

My milk still didn't come in! I'm expressing or should I say, trying to express every 3 hours and then it's like 20 - 30ml at a time! So the Dr. prescribed a tranquiliser yesterday saying it will bring on the milk he he so now I'm supposed to feel happy and have milk he he. We bought a 2nd hand electric breastpump from Gumtree which is much better than trying to express with a manual pump.

The girls are settling now as well. Kayla was very emotional in the beginning and Megan couldn't understand that there was no more baby in my tummy, but no baby at home either. When I got home, my tummy was still big, so Megan rubbed my tummy thinking there's a baby. Shame man. But now she understands.

Hope you are all well! Here's a pic of my boy for those not on FB :-). Handsome ne?

hi preggy ladies & Mommy Joli

Going to try my best to remember everything ....

Meags - shew, I cant believe you are having such hassles. I thought once you had landed in Miami everything would fall into place. I really admire how you are handling all of this ( even with thr tears)

kaylae - have you been to see the dr yet?? Not good that you still have diarhoea. like the other ladies have said , it can bring on labour. We dont wont anybody else popping before the due dates...

Lucy - are you back from jhb now? yippee for the surprise baby shower. I have my baby shower on sat.. :) :) :)

Emsmom - well done Em! you must be so proud. I cant wait for my first parent-teacher meeting at the end of feb.

AFM - still plodding along. not much to report. just getting a bit uncomfy now. Hannah started playschool this week and its soooo quiet at home in the mornings now. I actually dont know what to do with myself. She is loving it there though, so Im so pleased.
I got given a whole bag of maternity clothes this morning - woohoo - even though i only have 4 and a bit weeks left, its still nice to wear something different for a change.

ok so Ive solved my pj crisis! yesterday I found some cotton pj pants at mr price. and then Ive decided im just going to take my 2 maternity tops along to wear with them. They are like spagetti strap tops but unclip at the top so it will be easy for breastfeeding.
and then i have a summer gown to throw over that. so im sorted!

I also bought my elizabeth annes soap detergent yesterday, but will wait til monday to wash everything.

my parcel from the states still hasnt arrived! its got all my nursery things in it. im really getting worried now. Ive tracked with the track no and they say its left usa but hasnt arrived in south africa yet! its been over 3 weeks now.

Anyway - my laundry is done - gotta go.
