Hi Guys

Just thought I'd introduce myself ! I'm new to the whole Forum thing..so I hope this is in the right thread ! I'm 22 weeks along with my first baby..we are super excited and I'm loving every minute of my pregnancy.. Can't wait to learn loads of new things from this Forum !!

I forgot to ask the moomie that said she can get a consultant to contact me regarding investing money into an education fund for my son to please contact me.. Forgotten who it was?! Oops. Sorry. They can contact me on 074 544 4147, but it has to be after 430pm if possible or before 11am on friday as cell signal at the cableway is almost non exisitant especially when im working. Thank you.
One of you was asking how the ct meet went but i wasn't there sadly, i was at work and there was a power failure so it was fun and games.
Been having a lot of problems with oedema in my feet cos i stand for 8 hours a day, but im trying to stay away from salt and drink loads of water. Was freaking out a bit today cos i realised at 28 weeks i have to go for that horrible glucose test cos my mom is diabetic and don't know if ill have money for it. Eish. At least i can pay off the hypnobirthing course im doing next month with my mom, have to find a baby sitter for that weekend still cos my dad won't cope and my bro hates children. Its a tough life, but im still smiling.
I have put on 9kg in total now and gone from a size 30 or so to a 38 but you also can't really see it unless im naked. Ha ha ha. But its there alright. Chat soon.

Driekie - I also seem to remember you are supposed to drink loads of water. Surely your gynae will give you a poa!

Rakker - Lol!!! I am also sausage fingers, my rings are so tight .... but that tend to happen in summer

Meags, Anje, Kimika and Schatsie - Thanks for the compliments. Not sure being small is a good thing though. I eat all day long! I am very like my Gran and she apparently never got a big bump so I'll try not panic. Watch me blow up in a months time - LOL!!

Kimika - Blowing up at the liver spread sounds familiar. It is weird hey. Although my fast swings seem to be more to the happy. Then slower into the emotional.... boo hoo. Today is also a good day for me Enjoy!!

Was "accused" of moving away from this thread to the May-July thread because I'm not posting anything... And nope, I didn't abandon this thread. I was just suuuuuper busy at work. Actually I'm still that busy, but I will try and pop in more regularly. But please forgive me if I don't do personals or do only 1 or 2.

Karen, whoohoo for possibly finding out the gender soon. My week and a half before I might find out is dragging like time has never done before.

Meags, great meeting you. I thought you looked so good and you are shining from within, through all your worries and stress. That is what stuck with me. Don't worry about the not being broody / not bonding. I also have that this time. I'm sure it will happen, even if only after the birth. It is not uncommon.

Kimika, as I said in my PM, great meeting you! Hope we can chat again at the planned meet of 15 Jan. Please change my due date to 5 May. The 2 May was just my playing around on Google date, LOL. According to my LMP date and the scans, it will be 5 May.

Schatsie, exciting times! A pregnancy and a wedding !!!

AFM: I currently feel great. No MS, no nothing. Every now and then I get mild heartburn, but it goes away quickly. Starting to get the lovely old sausage fingers, but the heat is to blame at this stage.Today they are seem to be their thinner selves.

Gee Lucy, where are you hiding your baby??!! You are absolutely TINY!! On the upside, at least you can still fit into all your normal clothes, so you must be saving a fortune in that department!

The rest of the wedding plans are coming along nicely. We decided to have both the ceremony and reception at our home since we have a really lovely house with garden and pool. We have a pastor who comes to your house and does the ceremony there and then we got a spitbraai company to cater for us. I also have a wedding planner who is organising all the tables, chairs, lights, etc., so this way we can have it nice and relaxing at home and not do anything ourselves.

I'm talking with my step sister on Facebook as she's buying my bed from me and I've asked loads of questions about her work (new job since august) and future travelling etc.
I have not seen her for almost 7 weeks (and she lives 10 minutes from me!) and she has not asked ANYTHING about how I feel, how's the baby or anything!!!!
