Shame Meags, your baby shopping trip sounds like my clothing trip, went shopping with great expectations of finding the perfect clothes for my preggy belly, but couldn’t find a thing. It was really depressing. You’ll probably find the most perfect things when you least expect it.

Hi girls, I have not read all your posts yet, will do it after my update.

Dr said baby is healthy and approximately 181 g. I am doing well, as well. Gained only 1 kg so far.......whooohoooo. She checked the gender several times before announcing that she is 99.9 % sure it is a...................drum rolll....................GIRL !!

We are so excited !! Although I had a feeling it was a boy, I am really glad it is a girl !!

haha the weird thing is that I wasnt annoyed with her about the mis-spelling. I just thought I'd correct her - which I will NEVER do ever again cos clearly it offends her
She is ignoring me now...should I send a second message asking why she is so weird about the whole thing or just leave it?

Also have not heard from my evil step mother since smsing her to say it's a boy last night?! weird...

So I have to admit...I'm a little sad I wanted to go shopping for baby and honestly, I saw nothing cute!!! Not one thing I liked in Ackermans or Edgars. I ended up buying a green vest that says 'mommy's little man' or something.
And then there were all the little girls clothes and I honestly could have bought tons of it!!!!

Meags - So glad DH is trying, treasure these special moments. You'll be surprised how quickly they stack up.
Oh the spelling thing is ridiculous, can she not even make the effort to copy it from a lower post!! My maiden name is french (Descroizilles) and it always made me mad how some people could not spell it, I mean people who should remember not random people as it is a mouthful-LOL!!

Meags, so my guess was wrong... I have no doubt that you will enjoy your little man. And don't worry about your DH. I got my first child after 12 years of marriage as my DH didn't want kids (called them expensive pets...). And now he is the best dad I could ever want for my LB. So caring, involved etc. that his friend of almost 30 years says he can't believe the way he is with our son. So, keep your chin up and wait for it to happen, because it will happen.

Nothing more from me, except that I am now officially denimless as my big big denim that I bought after LB was born is now too small for my bump. And it was still fine a week ago.

I think your gynae is just covering her butt *just in case* Mine is also like that.. the would rather say nothing than say the wrong thing.. very frustrating! Ofcourse there is always a chance of getting it wrong. So I would say atleast keep the tags on and keep the slips of whatever you buy. For sure with your next scan you will be able to see gender every time! So you will get confirmation a few times before he is born. But Im sure she predicted right
