I am so on my horsie today to get me a baby item. lol

How does one put those goodies at the bottom of your replies...i am so envious...

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR - whats up with me being green around the gills today, hardly made it to my desk, made 2 pitstops....

I am so not a happy chappy today....*slouches in my chair*

Lucy I added your scan date and that made me realise its exactly 3wks before my next scan!! Thats forever I just noticed now that it then is 5wks inbetween my appointments.. shoo!

Emsmom, when are you guys going to Australia?? I didnt know.. You are so lucky to have all the old furniture! We have nothing left from our kiddie days And we are 4 children so I guess if anything was left we had to share it.

Meags, did you survive your 2 workdays???? Hope you are no too tired to pop in.. we miss your chattering

areej - go for it! I said to myself as soon as I saw that first heartbeat I would start buying. Its also been about 5 years since I was PG, so its new all over again.

For babyshowers you normally get pretty much the same thing - blankets, toiletries, towels and grows. So I wont buy any blankets and towels. Will naturally buy some clothing. But the cloth nappies I want are too pricey to ask people to buy for me, so I'll ask for vouchers instead.

Lucy, feel free to vent, you are entitled! I hope that you do sort it out with him soon, not good for you to be under such emotional strain, and certainly not good for baby.

I love the refurbishing of compactums. We have got the one my Oupa made for me when I was born for Em - just whitewashed it, and now using it again for monkey. Also have the chest of draws DH had as a baby. And a little wooden chair my other oupa made for me, Em loves it. And we had a tiny couch seat re-covered that DH had as a baby. To me these mean more than anything.

Sadly as we are in a 2 bed place and there is no use moving before we move to Aus, I wont be doing up a baby room - they stay in your room for the first year anyways.. We did Ems' room up this year like a fairy princess room.

Kimika - I'll go check it out. I don't think we'll be buying cots etc. As MIL giving us her old campcot and DH refurbishing my copactum from when I was a baba. So I'm just looking for pretty bits and bobs. But still want to look! Thanks

Ive been to tinyinteriors and they have really nice stuff! I found a lady in Jhb who sells the same kinda things, especially the furniture but she is a little bit cheaper. www.dreamfurniture.co.za Im also going to buy my sons 3/4 bed from her so that it matches the cot and compactum.

For those of you also buying made-up cots etc from suppliers, just remember that they are closed over Dec holidays so it works out that you need to have placed your order before Dec holidays and have paid your deposit so that the goods will be finished in time for baby! It takes about 6- 8wks for manufacturing. I learnt that lesson with my son.. he was almost there before the cot

Kimika - my due date 10 April and my next scan will be at 16weeks on the 28 October. And maybe then i shall see what i am having.

Lucy - thats what we are here for, vent all u need to - its not got to harbour things....

Ems - so u dont think it crazy if i wanted to buy a little vest yesterday...Everyone ses is so premature to be buying things...

I am suppose to be use to this by now....but its been 4yr since i've been preggie...
