hi ladies,

I hope everyone at least got SOME rest over the long-weekend! LOL

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I MOST men are complete SHITS!!! They're generally self-centred & self-involved and unfortunately that aspect of their personalities will never change. Babies to them are boring and to except them to be as excited as we are from day 1 is impossible. My husband only got excited when our son was born - to this day I can count on 1 hand how many times he's bathed OR fed LO. I was 7 months pregnant, sitting on a cold tiled floor till late hours staining the cot & changing station in the outside room at my house because I eventually realised that HE wasn't going to get off his ass & do it for me. I was standing on a chair putting woodfiller in the old cupboard handle holes so I could replace it with the new ones I got.

Unfortunately as women you've got to be both mom & dad UNTIL your husband pulls his head out of his ass & decides to grow a pair & be a man for once in his life (i.e some men NEVER get to this point, mine I'm sure isn't all the way there yet).

I totally agree as words are containers and can leave a parmenent damage on ones soul

That's terrible! I wish that people who don't have something consructive to say could just keep their mouths shut!

With mu MIL, I know that Em is her life, she certainly loves Em more than anyone else in the world. When we first told her we were pg with Em, she was in shock I think. She wasn't even expecting us to get married - even after buying a house together. I was DH's first girlfriend, so she wasn't used to relationships. Also his family dont show emotions at all, I kinda brought that into their lives. She never gave hugges or kissed before I came along.

I think maybe this time she is in shock again. Just very different to my folks who ask all the time. But then they are very different people. Our family is a very emotional one, we are loving and hug and kiss all the time. My dad is a big softy and I take after him, we have so many charity cases its scary. I can sit and watch a sad movie with him and we'll both be crying.
When Girly's little Kaylee was in hospital he phoned me all the time to see how she was, and still asks all the time now.

So when you've grown up with people like that, and your DH's family is emotional shut, its just an adjustment. Thankfully Dh is loving and supports all my charity cases with me. So Em and blob will be raised in a house learning it is far better to give.

Rakker, I can imagine how excited you are for the scan, will make all the sickness worth while!

Meags - Thanks, I am looking forward to the scan. Just so I can see the little bugger making me so sick... Maybe that will help me get through the next few weeks.

EmsMom - With my first pregnancy (my MIL's first grandchild), MIL's reaction was "Oh?". Nothing more. At least this time we got more reaction: "How will you afford 2 children?" Nice, hey? My parents were over the moon both times and just wanted to tell everybody. So yes, I feel your pain. I just can not understand how she can think that we won't be able to afford 2 kids. I mean, they could.

To those having DH problems - I really hope that their eyes open for your needs and for the fact that looking after your needs will earn them a lots of "cash" in the love bank.

AFM: Was really a crappy long weekend and wish I can have it over in about a months time. MS was bad and heartburn was also added to that to make things worse. I hate it that I don't enjoy my food and that everything leaves an after taste that makes me nauseas. I really hope that it will be better by 12 weeks, which means 3 more looong weeks of feeling sh!t. That's my moaning for today. Thanks for listening.

Emsmom-I am done writting him smses,notes etc. he must just grow up and stop being a child.If this is his attitude he better leave me in peace,told him that on saturday

Meags-He is and he also pretends like nothing is wrong the following day.want to kiss,cuddle etc and it just pisses me off big time.The way he frustrates me I told him that I regret marrying him.

I agree with you ladies,most preggie clothes are awful,I prefer buying like you Meag,bigger sizes that's all,not putting myself under that torture

I also hear baby kick,it feels like my uteras is making bubbles and the heartbeat is also visual especially when I am lying on my tummy and it just jumps up and doen,DH says its my imagination.
