Hi ladies

Shame Kaylae, your DH sounds like an ass...my DH does something wrong, then continues with life as normal, kissing, cuddling...as though I'll just 'forget' what he did.

EmsMom, I know what you mean about the ugly maternity wear and the prices!!!! I am lucky to have found 3 maternity pants that actually look like nice normal pants. And the tops are also nice. I have, however, seen some that make you look like a tent!! So I do steer clear of those. Have been trying to just buy bigger sizes of normal tops now.

Lucy, my friend did a wild animal theme for her baby room and it is gorgeous! well done on finding your bargains!!! I love bargains...Even if I dont really need the thing, I buy it anyway since it's such a good price
I really would love to start buying stuff now but we dont have that choice. will be buying everything in USA so gotta wait until I'm about 33 weeks  STRESS!!!!

I am going to buy small things like clothes, receiving blankets, just the simple stuff. but anything electronic or bulky will have to wait.

Kimika I'm sure you felt kicks. Being your 2nd baby and over 17 weeks already!! I am desperate to feel something. I already lie on my back hardly breathing with my fingers on my uterus to see if I can feel anything - which I obviously cant yet :p

I had a dream that at our scan we saw it was a girl and I went back to that shop in Fourways Mall and bought the exact outfit I'd wanted to buy! It was so real...and DH was so sad it wasnt a boy!!

Today I am going to meet one of the mom's from here that I'm going to be a doula for. Have put together a nice little package of samples for her :)

Kaylae sorry you are also having problems with Dh, why not e-mail him today and let him know what he did to upset you? Some men just dont get it.

Kimika, I'm already feeling sqyished in my normal pants, but refuse to buy maternity ones. My MIl has agreed to make me a whole bunch of elastic pants - so I'll go and get fabric for those, she will also make me a skirt or two.

You can shop on so many places for bargains - just type "free ads" in your search bar and you'll find masses.

I'm also almost sure I felt the baby move yesterday, like sudden bubbles being popped in my lower tummy. But dont want to say anything cause most people wont believe that I have. Told Dh and he said maybe if I just relax I'll feel it again.

Lucy I dont think MIL is jealous - she is far more interested in Em than in DH - and according to her she really wanted another grandchild. Maybe its just not real for her yet. With Em she wasn't interested until she came with for a scan and then suddenly...

So will see what happens. :)

I think Em might have pink eye, her eyes are seriously blood shot - but then she has a cold and has been rubbing them the entire night, maybe its just that. I really dont want to take her to Dr if its not needed, as she hates them.

Hi everyone!! Hope you all had a great weekend and are all nice and rested :)

Emsmom, I hardly ever wear dresses but I think Ill still go buy some, just a lot comfier than pants those last few weeks! I ended up wearing my pjs the whole day while I was at home cause all the pants were squeezing my son's head :)

Meags, thanks for the update on h-buzz!

Lucy, yipeee for buying the travel system!! It sounds great :) Where did you see it? Gumtree? Where else can I shop for bargains?? (My hubby is toooootaally not into second hand stuff but you never know what I find ;) )

And I agree, buying things is not going to do your baby any harm!! In fact I believe its more of a positive thing because you trust your baby will be fine. My son's theme is also wild animals and Im keeping it that way for them both to share the room. There are lots of really nice things available for that theme! And the "rocking zebra" sounds soooo cute!! And for your little bush baby its really appropriate :)

Im sure I felt little kicks yesterday.. felt like when you have a twitch in your face.. difficult to explain but Im sure it was baby and not a tummy twitch ;)

Meags-You and I are in a rocking boat.I hardly saw DH the whole long weekend and LG is busy fussing where her dad is.Had to do shoping for the house's paints all by myself and carrying it left me sick.Yesterday had cramps I'm sure it was the uteras expanding but he didn't give a damn woke up 6 am bathed off he left came back 22:00 just to make stupid noise with his stupid mxit and baby and I are just turning and tossing. How I hate that man.

Lucy-Glad you have decided to let the past be and concentrate on the future. Will also be doing LG's room as we bought a new house and still have to move in her theme is "winnie the poo"went to reggies and found lovely stickers.

Happy monday ladies

Thanks Emsmom! Is MIL perhaps a little jealous? If DH is so focused on you, she may be feeling a little left out. Is DH her only son? Maybe once she sees the scan she'll get with it!
You seem to have got loads of stuff, the more I think about getting organised early the more sense it makes to me ........ and I have just seen a pigeon steriliser still in it's box for R80 on gumtree!!

I shall post pics at the moment it doesn't even have a roof

Ah lucy, must be hard for you, but glad that you have decided to go ahead as usual. You have passed the apparent "safe" mark, so I think buying stuff now is perfect!

I also want to get everything bought by december, so that we can then save for the birth, as I know that will cost us, and I will be a month without a salary, so need to be able to cover that as well.

I LOVE the theme you are going with! And so stunning that DH will make the rocking horse! Please post pics of the before and after :)

I'm glad you had a chat with him, as now really isn't the time to go off meds.

Hope everyone had a good week-end. I just remembered what else I bought! I got Em a booster seat for the car, as she is now far too big for hercarseat. So we'll put the car seat in storage till the next one is big enough for it.

for me, my MIL doesn't seem too interested in our pregnancy, my parents ask every day, often twice a day how the baby is doing, how I'm feeling etc. She hasn't asked anything, I always have to tell her whats happening etc. I mean she's coming to the scan and seems a little excited about that, but nothing otherwise. its strange.

Anyways...

Hugs to all
