Hi ladies
EmsMom, dont think I need a drip (yet...). my tummy however looks a lot smaller

I was enjoying my boepie!
as for my friend. I sent the email. This is what I said; let me know what you ladies think:
Hi Nicki
I am Laura's friend Meagan. I am emailing you as I am growing more and more concerned daily about Laura's well-being and happiness and her decision to marry Greg.
I am aware she has informed you of a few events where Greg has been drunk, upset her and said mean things. But I do not think she is open enough to tell you everything, and I feel responsible to tell you a few things she has told me. I am only telling you these things, because I worry Laura is making a huge mistake and will regret her decision to marry Greg in a couple of years.
Laura has explained to me that she has to stay with Greg as if she breaks up with him, there is no guarentee she'll ever met another guy. She told me she would rather be treated a bit badly and be unhappy, than be alone and never get the chance to have children. This really saddens me, as she shouldn't be settling for second best. Greg also informed her over the weekend that he actually decided he doesnt want to have children - and I know a life without children for Laura, would be a very empty and unfulfilled life. She did tell me that if she didnt have children, she would be miserable.
Another thing she has told me a couple of times now, after Greg and her have fought, is that she really would leave, but due to the fact that she has paid deposits for the wedding already, she feels like she has to stay. She feels she cant waste that money now. I have explained to her that I am sure your father would be happy to throw that money away if it meant she was making the right choices in life.
I am not sure how you feel about Greg, but I know a few of us (Laura's friends) are not big fans of him. He doesnt treat Laura with great respect and Laura often feels she has to choose between him and her family - another thing she shouldn't have to do.
I am not exactly sure what to do, or what you should do. But I just cant sit here anymore and watch her getting hurt over and over again, disrespected and desperate. I am sure she will be very angry with me for sending this email to you, and if our friendship is to end over this, I just hope she can forgive me one day when she realises I was just looking out for her, as friends should do. I am not sure if we should all have a meeting together (us and the family) or if you want to approach this on your own with your dad?
My husband told me I shouldn't get involved. But how can I just watch my friend ruin her life? When I immigrate, who will she turn to when he's upset her again?? She is going to be so unhappy and I cant bear to think of her life if she goes ahead with this wedding.
I also think when you do approach her about this, she will down play it and say there is nothing wrong. I think Laura is emotionally unstable at the moment with regards to making such a commitment such as marriage. I honestly feel she is just getting married because her life plan was to have children by 24 years old and now all her friends are married and getting pregnant and she feels left out. I just wish she had enough courage and self respect to realise she deserves more.
Please let me know what you think of this situation and if there is anything I can do to help further.
Meagan
