and lucy, is it 100% certain to be a boy???? my gynae said she couldnt guarentee at 12 weeks as the clitoris is sometimes still enlarged making it look like a boy?

I was so annoyed. Took 3 pairs of pants in to get shortened on Thursday. was told I could collect on Saturday. Saturday they called to say can I please collect Sunday at 1pm. so I said fine. Went today at 4pm and they werent done!!!! I almost lost my cool. I explained she'd called me herself to say yesterday and now they are still not even ready. She had no answer for me. just kept saying "sorry..." and said I can come back in 30 minutes. so I did...and they were ready. but dont understand how it couldnt be done over 4 days, but can be done in 30 minutes?? aarrgg...anyway. atleast I have extended my wardrobe by another 3 pairs of pants!!

So it seems DH is now only going to go away after the 16 week scan (perhaps missing the 20 weeks scan) but now I dont want to wait until 16 weeks to see the sex. especially since you ladies are all finding out now!!!
So I am thinking of booking with maryke for the end of next week. I'll be 14 weeks 5 days. do you think we'll see for certain??? or should I do it at 15 weeks 1 day? not sure those 3 days will really make a difference?

For us I know DH would prefer a girl, but end of the day we are not worried. People are always SO shocked when I tell them DH wants another girl, so does my dad. And I swear if I have to hear MIL say one more time that it would be nice to have the Walsh name extended - I'll Christian him with my family name!
If we have a girl I have another princess and if I have a boy then I have a prince

Meags, about the 12/14 weeks thing, I think it depends on when people take your first week of pregnancy from - most people class first trimester over at 13 weeks

mommy-jess you've not got me craving salami! I'm actually wanting salami, avo and pickeled onions on a roll with mayo but we are having burgers and chips tonight, so I'll enjoy that I hope you get your pasta tonight and feel better!

Gosh today has been slow and well, not very "lekker" for me.

I have been able to eat, marie cookies, rusks and an orange. I'm thinking i'll just have plain pasta with mayo tonight, DF thinks it is Gross, but I think its to die for!

I have been so in the mood for Salami, I feel as if I could eat a whole roll by myself in big chunks.....lol some Biltong and dry wors could go down very well too. I have found that I am also wanting bread, if its normal bread like albany, even though its nice and soft, but I like the R5.99 spar bread. That is the BEST, The crust must be hard but the bread it's self must be soft. I'm also wanting Salad, like the woolies pasta salads you get.....lol I'm driving myself crazy with food stuff!

can you "guesstimate" what sex you are going to have by the foods you crave?

We goingto a buffe' resturant on Sunday For my step fathers birthday, so i'll be able to "be a pregnant piggie" lol. i dono where the Buffe' is, apparently in Monticasino.
And Saturday its Hotdogs!!!!!! my all time favorite meal! even before I was pregnant, lol I went through a stage where we would have hotdogs for dinner on the Monday, then Boerewors rolls with relish the next day, then cheese grillers with chip rolls, then chip rolls, eventually by the Friday DF begged to just have like Steak eggs and potato wedges for dinner or sonmething.lol


Oh ya, I forgot, I asked a while back who had TopTV and what they thought of it. I have it and I find that it is on par with DSTV, apart from the costs per month and now with the new instulation price being brought down to R299.00 instead of R499.00 and that there are about 15 new shows comming in the next month or so. I am absolutly thriled that Grey's is on now, its on every night and has started from S1E1. There are other really cool shows on and there is a chanal called Fox Retro, it has shows like Buck Rogers, and all those other really old programs on, people in their 30's will remember those shows...lol I don't. but Hubby likes watching it. any way, I think it is fantastic!

anyway, everyone must have an absolute fantastic evening! Ladies, when you get home or if you are already home, have a glass of refreshing cold glass of what ever you enjoy, mine would be milk, seenthough we cannot do the wine thing.lol in a warm bath with bubbles and soft music in the background and calming candles, close the door and stick a "DO NOT BOTHER ME OR ELSE" sign on the door and just enjoy it! you deserve it!
