Kimika your pics are so cute (DEFINITELY a boy!!)
That is sweet to know the foot size as it makes it more real to see the size of the baby :)

I saw my friend. She finally opened up and spoke about her brother in great detail. She says it's only the 2nd time she is talking about it. They are hoping to have a memorial service soon (her brother lived in the UK so the body is there) and she thinks once they have the service, it will bring closure.
She does seem ok though. I wouldnt say it's PND. looks like normal grieving.

Her baby is so precious. Got to hold him lots while she prepared his bath, ironed some clothes, got dressed etc. He weighs 3.1kg now. and to think he's already 2 weeks old and I am sure mine at birth will be so much bigger than that!!

I have started with heartburn. generally later on during the day and when I try lie down :(

Morning ladies!

Kimika those pics are too cute! I love the "big" feet :)

Meags I'm glad you had a good birthday and am so jealous of the mangwanani voucher, I've been 3 times for the day, and then our one burnt down, should be opening next month again though!

Lucy - maybe get him one of those "what to expect when you're expecting" books for men? I told my DH to not comment on things until he has researched them, now he's very caareful to read up before making comments about pregnancy first.

My tummy seems to really have popped out suddenly, went to a party on Sat and you could clearly see I was PG!

DH put the video of the blob on his i-phone so we could show all the parents, very sweet.

Today I did a nice clear out of things, and moving things that can go into storage - and have put the first two baby grows into babys' little compactum :)

Anyways hope you all have a fab day and good luck to all those having scans!

Morning girls!! Hope everyone is having a happy monday and not a blue one!!

Lucy, my leg is 100% again :) Enjoy your scan today!! Yipeeee  Cant wait for your update.

Jessica, enjoy your scan too!! Ok I know you will :) Will be fingers crossed for a little blue guy ;)

Joli, yipee on feeling fluttering movements and also yipee for not picking up much lateley!!!

Meags, it would be nice to visit your friend. I remember when I had my son it was such a major thing to get used to!! For me those first 6 or so weeks (ok more like 6 months) was a bit rough.. I also cried every time baby woke up and every time I had to feed him.. But I think thats prob just the normal baby blues.. and almost everyone gets it.. lucky to those who dont! :) I think its also the lack of sleep combined with this sudden change of your daily routine and life, mixed in with the huge emotional responsibility of being the mommy to this totally dependant little baby that really only you can care for. Im already wondering how Im going to cope with my new addition along with a busy toddler!

Rakker, ag the concert sounds so cute! Pls remember to post a pic!! Im slowly getting used to the idea... will prob take a bit longer ;) I think Ill go buy something cute and blue like a little first outfit or something this week.. nothing like retail therapy!!

Here are some scan photies:

A leg shot and some feet. His little (or not so little) feet measured at 2.2cm!

A good example of what a little boy looks like at 16wks

There's a little face and also a 3d image of his whole body.

Hope everyone has a fab week!! xxx

Hi ladies!!

Kimika - congrats on the boy!!!You'll see the two little rascals will be great together!!I also want a little girl but I think it's another boy for me too..so I know what you mean!!
Hi Jessica!I see we are sharing scan dates - whooooohooooo!!!
Lucy - good luck with your scan!o jaa, and I also have the "luminous wee" sometimes..hehe..like the way you describe it!!
Joli - hoped you enjoyed the zoo..I love to go to zoo!!Your little angel sounds like an absolute cutie!!!
Meags - glad the shower was nice and I'm soooooo jealous of your gifts - but you deserve it, ENJOY!!!!And then EEEEEEEEEUUUUUUWWWWW on the neighbours, I'd write them a huge poster and put it under their car's wipers so they can see how annoying they are!!
Mommy-Jess - why don't you have sack-race, three-legged race?Good luck with the ms - shame man, sounds like you got it bad!
Misty-mom - holding thumbs that your pmb's get accepted!!
Hi - all other mommies - sorry for no personals, but still a great big hellllooooo to all of you!!!!

Joli - jip had braces for 7years in total, had the head-harness, lip-bumper thingy, ops to remove extra teeth, you name it I had it - but I had a gap between my upper and lower teeth (when I bit down) of 1,5cm and couldn't close my mouth properly as my upper teeth would stick out over my lower-lip...LUCKILY with a recommending letter from my dentist and the orthodontist etc my parents med.aid paid for everything and if I remember correctly the amount was someting like R10 000-00 to R12 000-00 and that was in 1991-1998..

Enough of that....I am very happy as I now at loooong last have a proper boepie not just a "fat" tummy!Very relaxing weekend too - hubby played cricket on Sat so Markus got to play with the other kids which tired him out completely..so I got a little me-time which is very rare in our household!!!

Hope all mama's have a very good week!!!!

Just a quick one.

Kimika, don't feel guilty about your feelings about your LO being a boy. You just need time to get used to the idea and to get excited all over again. I won't mind the gender this time. With my first I had a feeling that it was a girl, but I was very happy to find out it was a boy. With this one I am undecisive about my preferences. I enjoy my LB so much that I would love another. But then, as this will probably be the last, a girl would really be nice. I have long to go before I find out, so I'm not thinking about it too much at this stage.

To all: Thanks for the sympathy about my sore back. It is almost 100% fine now. The fisio did wonders for it.

The concert was cute. The theme was travelling to different countries. My LB's class did America and were dressed like cowboys and girl. All in red, blue and white. Cowboy hats and all. They really looked so cute. They basically shook their bells in easy patterns like up and down and they also did some easy dance moves. Too cute. My LB was very interested in what went on behind him, so he looked behind him for half of the first song. Will post a pic as soon as I get it from a friend who sat close to the front.

Morning sickness much better and I can't be more happy about that. I really dreaded the following weeks. Let's hope it stays this way...
