ok so my plan to see Maryke is out. I feel like crying. in fact, I am not loving DH right now (again.)

I said since he is going to be here for the 16 week scan, I cant wait that long since we decided we'd do the gender scan before him leaving and now I have my heart set on that and the 16 week scan is so far.
He said it's totally unnecessary and I must just wait cos "it's a waste of money'.
I then reminded him of the money he wastes on booze and cigarettes and he's said nothing.

I am really upset was so looking forward to finding out what baby is sooner.

We couldnt really get a clear view of that area as baby was so bust kicking and rolling around and moving. everytime we almost got a glimpse, baby would somersault around and kick. naughty naughty....perhaps thats why my gynae didnt want to say anything as it really could have been the cord we saw.

I have made a firm decision to book an appointment at maryke next week friday at 14 weeks 5 days.
Can someone give me her cell number? I have a maryke on my phone but just want to confirm it's her!

Joli - We were very lucky ..... and it was VERY clear! Gynae said he knows it's early but he'd put money on it! You could see the 2 balls and penis inbetween. Clear as day! Of course DH is very proud as he reckons it his genes that have passed on such large jewels!! Men!! But the legs and arms look long, which is me. Hee hee ..... already assigning traits!

Meags - Gynae said you never know, but actually made some comment about it being far too swollen for a girl. It really was sticking right up. We had a good look from different angles while he was snoozing away so yes it was pretty certain. It kind of looked like the end of a hot dog with the sausage sticking out.

Ya Meags rather don't try to see what it is when DH is not with you. Will be nice if he can be there too. I'm sure if it's a girl and your DH hold her for the first time he will be over the moon and very protective.

Joli I am actually going to see a friend tomorrow at her work and she knows how to use the sonar machine. so she'll do a scan for me but in a way, I hope we cant see what it is as I'd like DH to be with me.
I also have a friend who wanted to come to a scan with me and I promised I take her next wednesday but then also dont want to know the gender without DH!! I am thinking of cancelling that wednesday one (well nothing to cancel appointment wise as I was going to work) and just telling that friend she can come another time to some other scan! then DH and I can go end of next week.
Really hope for a pinkie although I know DH will be a little disappointed
