Genesis open day was awesome. got so many free goodies!!
and i won a miacup. not that i'll be needing it any time soon but anyway!! it's something you use in place of tampons!!

but got baby product samples, an avent tupperware, sample nipple creams, bum creams and lots of pamphlets. also saw a lady who sells baby wraps to make slings out of. i am definitely going to buy one. they look fantastic. will give the website if anyone is interested

PS I have just had a nectarine (from woolies) It really helps with the MS which has been raging today.

Nice to read all the news! Got a scan with Maryke from Genesis on Sat morning (how convenient is that!!!) Just didn't feel like waiting til 16 weeks on the 13th Sept but will go to my gynae then. He is LOVELY but I'm really not keen on hospital birth.
Meags, what was the open day like? Was it divine?
I am going to look around on Sat too.
My dh is against natural birth lol everyone he knows had epidurals and he said he can't handle me being in pain. I think it will be fine and it's not like it lasts forever (says she speaking from absolutely NO experience whatsoever, lol!) Early days though. I am keen to see our bubs again hence the extra scan. Only R200 compared to R1500 or whatever it was but that was special 12 wk scan for Downs, etc etc Also have done all the blood tests etc all clear although one never knows hey.
Anyone else done the bloods and that special scan (nuchal scan) where they measure nose, and space between something and something. My gynae is a fertility specialist and has amazing equipment I couldn't believe how much he could see!

hayley i read tht ur cervix shifts up when ur pregies.. now i monitored my cervix right thru and up until around day 13/14 dpo my cervix was very low and all of a sudden around day 15 it shifted up.. so yea even tough for a lot of women it happens at diff times some even few weeks after but tht was the case with me hope dat helps

Just got off the phone to my gynae... And.... All the + OPK'S is most definately picking up another hormone either than LH as there is no way i could be ovulating 5 times in the space of two weeks...

So he is sending for me HCG Quantitive blood test tomorrow... So i should get my results tomorrow afternoon, so this time tomorrow i will know what's cooking..

Does your cervix and CM change in pregnancy??? Has any of you ever heard of your orgasms becoming more intense when pregnant????

thanks joli-- it might be around 11/aug or so but if not this time then deff roughly a month from then as this time it might be a bit hectic cos of EID being tht friday so we might be a bit bussy.. but will confirm a bit closer to time.. how long would a family shoot take??

EmsMom - yip I'm in JHB. Emily is a nice age now and I'm sure she will make an awesome big sister. There's 4 years, 4 months between Kayla and Megan. I've had no problems and Kayla is a big help. Kayla wrote me a letter last night and she then 'signed' it from Daddy, Kayla, Megan & Baby! She also kisses my tummy every morning and every night.

Meags - I was also thinking about self delivery, but not sure whether I would be able to handle it. I must say DH was put off a little bit after he saw Megan being born (he is fine now), but this time he mustn't look down there! THX Meags, but I'm actually looking for nectarines - I found some peaches instead but still looking for nectarines.
