Meags, maybe then start looking for a house to rent while you are still here? Maybe DH can go voer early and look at it, and employ a company to do your unpacking for you?

Might cost some but will save you a lot of effort in the long run.

I have a lot of family in the US, several of whome have recently had children, I can ask them for reccomendations if you would like?

Kimka are you feeling any better emotionally today? Nice that DH gets you your craving foods :)

With Em I craved strawberries and fanta orange. had some fanta orange last week and wanted to vomit!

I do however crave sliced olives, just ate the entire jar for my lunch :)

Em is being so sweet now about the tiny baby - she sings to it, rubs my tummy and says its "her baby" and how she's going to look after it when it comes. She even woke up last night around 1am and asked if she could rub the baby in my tummy :)

Hi. I wrote a long post and then my phone closed the whole thing and lost my post. I have heard many good stories about mowbray maternity. I wish i could leave my son with someone, but my mom is doing a quilting course and my dad doesn't want to help. Most of my friends work and the creche down the road don't want to take him for a day and i got no money to send him on a regular basis. So he will go with me tom.
I took photo's last time of my belly but not going to bother this time round..may be when i start showing. I weigh 5kg more this time round to start off with... But im still underweight. :(
im very tired and nauseous today. Last night my son woke up every hour, sat up and cried til i put him back into bed and patted his back til he went back to sleep just to start all over again.
I have been using cloth nappy's since december last year and i have had less hassles with leaking than i did with disposible ones. I use disposibles when we go out though.
Chat again soon. ;)

kimika of course you can offload here :) that's what we are for!!

so i just booked to attend the babysense seminar on 11 september. it's a full day right from pregnancy, birth to sleeping and eating to toddlers!!
should be interesting.

i am so embarrassed.. we are so broke!!!
DH's salary goes into his account in france. so we live off his 'living allowance' and the rent we get from his company as they are renting from me (hehe)

his living allowance generally covers all my debit orders like bond, cell phone, insurance etc. and now this month the company didnt pay the rent as it was suppose to be the last month of the contract and since i owe them the deposit back, they just called it even!!!

i have a flexi reserve amount on my bond which i cant access as when my flat was suppose to be selling, they captured the amount. since the sale fell through, it hasnt been released.
we have a total of R700 in my account now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DH is going to have to draw cash from his french account

i have a bit of aches. but they are kind of like dull aches and not very painful. think it's just more stretching going on

Thats for everyone's kind words! And thanks for being there to offload onto! Hubby just keeps telling me I shouldnt stress and worry but how can I? So Ill rather just offload onto you guys since I think it puts extra pressure on him if I cry to him the whole time :)

Meags, I wanted to take pictures from 8wks but Im sooo bloated that its just going to look like ugly flabby belly fat! Ill wait a bit longer :) And wow its a tough one about where to give birth! Im sure you wouldve loved to have your baby here in SA, but if hubby cant come stay here for the last 4 - 8wks then there is a chance he might miss the birth.. Why not try google active birthing facilities in the US? They must have nice places!!??

Joli, I cant believe you gave them all your nice stuff and they wont give you something back.. eish.. some people just are the pits! Nectarine season is just around the corner, its a summer fruit! But the first ones are almost always left over in the fridges from last year so they taste like crap :)

Lucy, your little bean is going to be fine :) The morning sickness is a blessing in disguise isnt it! I got that pulling stinging yesterday when I jumped up from my nap ! Hubby said we could go buy me some salt & vinegar puffs from Spar for my vinegar craving and I was superly excited.. ouch :)

Hayley, Im sure your are preggie!!!!!!!!! That chart of yours is just too fishy! Why not go for bloods??? Your temp spike shows a huge spike in progesterone, exactly like mine did when I fell preggie..

Karen, congrats and welcome!!!

Emsmom, congrats on going cloth! I was very close to doing it with my son but backed out at the end :S

Tazzy, when are you coming to update us??

I guess you're right.
What scares me though is I think I will only go when I'm about 30 weeks and then I need to find us a house to live in, upack all our belongings, set up a nursey, find a midwife and birthing centre.
And it seems it could be difficult while being so pregnant!!
It could take us easily 4-8 weeks to find a house

Although it's either doing it while preggy or with a newborn!
Arrgg so many decisions.

So I have another question/statement.
I feel so weird saying 'when the baby is here' because even though i know i am pregnant, i dont feel it really???
