Faw, I'm really sorry to hear about your grandfather - but what a lovely long life! You seldom hear of people living into their 90's anymore.

Which company are you studying to be a doula - its something that really interests me as well.
And FAB on wanting to buy property!!

Meags, good luck with things calming down now that inlaws have left. I can imagine its a bit out of routine.

Well Katies birthday in just over a month! Cannot believe its happening so damn quickly! We're doing the Mad Hatter's Tea Party for her birthday party, and on her birthday itself, DH will take the day of and we will take her to the aquarium, and then out for lunch, and then tea and cake at our place.

But First DH's 30th next week!! So thankfully he's got the day off, and I'll keep Em out of school for the day. So will start the morning with gifts and breakfast in bed Then I've booked us for couple back massages. Then out for lunch to a wine farm with friends and family. Then home to pack up our house and move....
Thankfully his party is later and will be much more fun

How is everyone else doing? Any baba's walking yet?
Katie only has 2 1/2 teeth - she has 2 fully out, half out at the bottom and 1/4 out at the top... strange child.

Wow its been 5 weeks since I was last on! How unacceptable!

My inlaws are currently staying with us (mil, sil and her dh). Man I am their slave!!! They leave tomorrow though. Mil is just so weird. She doesn't know what else to do with Matthieu other than sing 2 or 3 nursery rhymes over and over to him...I think even he is annoyed...

Things with dh are still much the same. It was our 2 year anniversary yesterday and wasn't celebrated due to inlaws being here. He says we'll do something on saturday but I won't hold my breath.

Matthieu is very very naughty. But hey I guess that's kids for you. He still only makes baby noises like dadadada, aaaaahhh, babababa etc. But one thing he knows is "uh uh" while shaking his head no. And he loves doing it while I try feed him.

He's still not a big eater. In fact he will eat anything-but I just have to find the right distraction-and THAT is the hard part! What distracts him today he is bored with tomorrow.

He is crawling seriously fast and pulling himself up to stand but he does not cruise the furniture. He just stays in one spot! So I try to hold his hands and make him walk a bit like that. He got 4 teeth last week. All on top. 1 on either side of front 2 and then 2 back molars. Thought it was too early for those? So he now has 8 teeth.

His sleeping has not been great with the jet lag and the teething-but I hope it will return to normal soon once life is back to normal when the inlaws leave.

Some have already celebrated 1st birthdays, some are coming soon. I have ideas of what we will do (in 1 month) but no panic here-just nice to get some photos for memories and spend the day with friends. But I am going to make his cake

Abdul Hakeem has 8 teeth and is crawling around and says dada, baba and yes. He refuses to say mama, but sometimes I get a mummy. He walks well when you hold his hands. Such a sweet and adorable baby. His birthday is in two weeks and I am planing on getting a cake for him and some clothes and thats about all. I don't have the cash for a party really as I have given up doing the after hours phone and so I don't get the money for it any more. Its less stressful for all concerned, I just struggle a bit financially.
Last month my grandfather passed away at the age of 92. I didn't get to go to his funeral which was a bit sad for me, but at least now him and my gran are together again and my grandfather has been placed on top of my gran, so they cannot get much closer. LOL!!
I am starting a doula course next weekend and will be doing that part time. I am still on contract and will know the middle of next month as to what is what. If I am made permanent I will be buying property and if not then that will wait a bit longer.

Ryan had a lovely play date with Arno last Saturday. They both had loads of fun....and only one little fight over a toy! A few tears, but was soon over..

Cant beleive some of our LO's are already a year old!
