HI Girls,

I am keeping my head above the water. The people I work with are very unhappy and are taking it out on me, but management are aware of it. I hate work at the moment and wish that time would hurry up so that I can resign and become a full time doula and concentrate on other things that are more important to me.

Congrats Shrew. I am hardly ever on this website any more as I am so busy with my two children, working and studying. Tonight I start antenatal classes... its SOOOO strange because I have never been to such classes and I will be going on my own and not be pregnant. I am paying R300 for the classes instead of the normal cost which is great.

In July I have my big exam and then start studying to be a lactation consultant. Next year I hope to do a bridge course and become a midwife. (I won't have to study nursing first and then specialise... AWESOME!!)

Abdul was 10.620kg about 3 or 4 weeks ago and haven't weighed him again. He is still taking one or two steps and then falling over, but we caught him last night walking when he thought we were not looking, so he can do it.

Sulaiman turned 3 on sunday and we had a quiet day at home with some birthday cake. Tomorrow at school they are having a party at his school. I won't be there so my mom will have to go and take the cake etc.... which reminds me I need to find out when its going to be delivered. Its a spiderman theme.

Its ok Tazzy, I know how mad life is Its a little girl and we are calling her Gemma Noel I have had such great advise that I "feel" prepared emotionally and mentally much more and I dont have that 1st time pregnant arrogance lol.

Planning - whahahaha that is so funny I am not even worried about Rowan, Gemma and the issue of help re from Mark - he is an absolute star (we alternate getting up nights for Rowan already - I did not make Rowan on my own lol )!

Heck Shrew, only 10 days! Can't believe it! You should definitely be calm, because babies can differ so much. Also had the reflux issue with Alexander, and Cherise hardly ever spit up anything. Even the milestones were reached at totally different stages. I struggled with breastfeeding with Alexander (poor suck reflex) and Cherise was a natural. So ya, you can relax. And about coping with 2... I cannot lie to you and say it will be easy, but somehow you will cope. Just involve Mark from day 1, with both kids.

Tazzy, Shrew is getting a little sister for Rowan. How is that for "planning"? (I also got it "right", but no planning involved ). When will you know about the competition? I thought Amelia's face on that pic was just begging for a vote . Good luck with her being so active. Cherise gave me a heart attack yesterday when she climbed up halfway with the stairs and decided to stand upright. Must say, I didn't see it and just got the fright due to DH's reaction. He was up in a flash and I just heard this commotion. Of course we had the "you should have looked after her" argument after that...

Shrew - I dont think Ive congratulated you yet. But I did see your news on fb. I think its wonderful, you are going to have your hands full for the first year but after that its going to be a breeze.

Rakker - 10 days for our babies and they are 1!

I cannot believe how all our gorgeous kids have progressed and developed - very very awesome.

Am I the first of the first time round mom's to be having their 2nd baby??? I was completely freaked out because Rowan was a reflux baby and actually not easy to deal with at first. But the past month a wave of calmness has settled and I am 'rolling with the punches' that said life in my household will never be the same from July

Rakker - so nice to see you still keeping our thread alive!! How is your precious little babakins? Almost birthday time for her?

Amelia is walking steady on her feet now. And is 13 months. I can't believe it!! She is an extremely active little girl (no jokes! VERY active) she hangs onto my granite kitchen tops and walks up the cupboard doors! I'm starting to wonder how long it will be before I find her sleeping on the floor instead of in her cot. Eeeeek!! But she does have such a funny character in her. She really makes us laugh.
