Sorry I haven't been around more - between Bryce & Riley I'm really being kept very very busy!!!! And to top it off we only got back on monday from almost 2 weeks of camping on the south coast - which was wonderful being back in that nice humid climate again!!!

Anyhow - I'm sure I must have missed TONS by now!!!

BettyF - has baby come yet???

Claire I bled for 3 days very heavily. Like double maternity pads every hour. Then it went browny red for a week but much slower. Then just spotting with a liner. I am still spotting! Got my gynae check tomorrow so i'll let you know if it is a problem. So glad that R was a bit better. It'll get even better.
Kimika my gynae is like r300 more for natural. But the hospital will be more for c sec as it is more nights!

Meags I kinda see both your points. Very frustrating!

Well Tessa now weighs 4.4kg. Her rash has got so bad it is over her whole body. Trying some expensive cream and if it doesn't work then we have to use costisone:-(

claiire two to four weeks you should be done bleeding i got bleedimg and mucous n and off for about two ad a half weeks or three: some women a bit longer my gynae said you shoukd def be done by six weeks :)Ja meags i would be def pissed off even at the thinking never mind the doing ie being ok aout not even being in ct for yr visit how rude. Wat is the current situaion? He will be iin ct for yr visit and he will be there for the christening? Or what? I think u are right to deel irritated. Kimika i so want to get a cake like tha from you))) Xxx

Meags, I kinda get both of your views so Im on the fence for this one But I get that you feel a bit annoyed at him for abusing the trip that was supposed to be special time for you guys.. But does all of this mean that we have more time with you then?

Claire, ag thanks The lion cake I used a teddy bear tin and just built him a nose.. Its a great and really versatile tin to use if you have a bit of imagination. Ok so thats a lot for the c-sec!! Why on earth did the lady at the gynae tell me natural is more expensive? All my bills totalled to just over R27k.

Re the bleeding, it does differ even for c-sec.. but mostly tapers off towards 3 or so weeks. If should be brower/older blood and not bright red/fresh anymore. If you are b/feeding also it can cause a bit of sudden fresh blood, but it shouldnt be much.

Kimika - I really like your lion cake you did for your son - you are so gonna have business from me oh and I know you mentioned ages ago but here are my bills so far: gynae - 10700; hospital 22 700; paed - have no idea yet; aneathetist 5 500 so yes my medical aid really is paying for once.

Meags - mmm about the trip does seem a bit convenient. Although it does make sense for him to stay as you said. I really hope your little one gets sorted through the chiro.

Lucy - I loved the pic of Tessa with that crown! you are right re my employers. Can you believe I am still waiting for the balance of my salary which they said they would pay to my DH's account 2 days ago. Thank goodness I saved so much money. I am beyond it. Rowan is all that really matters.

Hi ladies

Just a quick selfish post as I want to go sleep while Matt sleeps.

So I'm going to france on 24 June for 9 days and then onto south africa for 10 days. My plan was to spend 3 nights in JHB and then 6 nights in CT (my brother lives in CT so my dad would come to CT with me and then they both get to see baby).

So Matt is being baptised in france and my brother is the godfather so I really wanted him there. He cant afford to come as he has no money. So anyway its his birthday in June so I arranged between my mom, dad and myself that we fly him to france for the baptism (around R3000 each so its not cheap at all).

now my brother wants to take advantage of the situation and stay longer to go to rock festivals etc and see some friends who live in london. so we decided he'd go earlier and then fly back to SA with me on 2 July. anyway. he has discovered there are only rock festivals in July and now wants to rather stay in Europe for July - meaning when I go to south africa, he wont even be there!!

So now there is no point in my doing 6 nights in CT...since I was mainly doing so many nights there just to see him.

I'm quite annoyed as this trip to france was not meant to replace the SA trip...it was like a bonus that he gets to see even more of the baby. Now he's saying since he'll see us in france, it's fine?!

either way, either he comes back with me on 2 July and is disappointed about not taking advantage of that journey to Europe or he stays on and I am disappointed he isnt in SA...I think I am landing up as the disappointed one.

the problem with my brother is he is so stubborn. he really has no money...but I know if he comes back with me, he will fly back to Europe in August (some friends of his are going then) in order to go to the rock concerts. which is such a waste to be flying backwards and forwards.

But I am annoyed as this trip was suppose to be for him to spend time with us, not for him to get a free trip to go see rock concerts.

am I being silly?!
I do understand his point of view that its a lot of money to spend to only go to france for 9 days and since there are friends he wants to see in london etc, he may as well utilise that trip for that.
But I feel jipped in a way?! Like he's now more abusing that trip??

Meag, NOO nobody said anything about using condoms for the first month!!!?? eish.. the packet only said it is only safe after you have taken the 14th pill and I waited until the *15th* pill! After I had my first boy I only had a period once I stopped feeding during the daytime and only did nightime feeds. Then about 2months later we started ttc and nothing happened so I started taking temps and noticed I had very short LP so then really its hard to fall preggie.. that only corrected about 6months after I had totally stopped b/feeding.. so Im hoping for something similar?

Joli, sorry friend but I actually laughed at the though of you having a oopsie nr 4!!! oh my word.. Well done on the good weight gain! You can really be a proud mommy for feeding your bean such rich milkies! The *shop* sounds great!! There are just sooo much amazing products out there!! Try get some good-looking baby/nappy bags in too.. everyone is forever battling to find nice ones

As for the expensive vaccs.. aiii.. I did them first time round and absolutely cannot afford to do it again. And yes, sadly once you start the one route you cant change You can buy the injections and have them put it through MA but it eats your savings.. but sometimes one just has not got the cash!

Cath, aghhh man.. dont even mention that hunger burst again!! It was horrible and I gained 2kgs in about a freakin week!!! Im back on my low gi eatplan so have lost about a kg again. So I have about 11kg intotal to lose now.. darnet.. didnt even think about the weight part in falling preggie again too soon! I wanna be seriously skinny when I fall preggie again.. by then Ill be over the halfway mark between 30 and 40 so dont want to make it extra difficult to lose! How great that Will is sleeping so well! Enjoy it

My boys did a nap together and I got some washing and sorting of winter clothes done.. R waking up now so there goes my washing
