mommies to be DECEMBER 2010

Afternoon ladies,

The painting has been put on hold till hubby gets home. There are some holes that need filling and sanding which he must do and he is worried about me climbing ladders.

Our little spud is 0.5kg.

I have been having SUCH bad pains in my ab muscles. Feels like a hot poker is being stuck into them. I threw the ball for my dog and nearly cried it hurt so much.

I just gave my boston terrier the hiding of her life. Got home after quickly popping to the shop to buy electricity and she has eaten the arm of our brand new pleather lounge suite!!!! PLUS the corners of the coffee table.

Our lab never chewed stuff up like this boston terrier does. Doesn't make sense. Not like she is teething either, she has all her big teeth and there are about 20 toys lying around the house for her. Drives me CRAZY!! Last week she chewed the spine of one of my favourite hardcover books (while it was still in the bookshelf). She has ripped off all the leaves on my house plants. PLUS she has dug holes all over the garden. I really don't know how we are going to stop them chewing up baby toys. The lab just watches her do all this.

Whoever said lab puppies were naughiest, never owned a boston terrier puppy!

GML I was very close to throwing that tantrum. It wasn't a matter of being unsure. she didn't even try to look at that area to see what it was. If she doesn't tell us next time there is definitely a tantrum coming.

Our scans are still quite clear and it looks like baby has enough space to move around comfortably (and it looks liek a human baby now- all the previous scans looked quite alien-like).

Glad to hear babies are well. Google very strange for the doctor not to tell you. I would have insisted and thrown a tantrum. Maybe he/she wasnt sure

Doctors appointment went well. Baby is big now and does not fit onto the screen. He was in breach (i wondered why i kept feeling thumps right on my bladder) now I know. Nothing to worry about though.

BP is all good and baby is weighing something along 400+ grams (I think)

I must say ladies the scans are horrible now. So blurry because of the space etc. She printed 5 pics and we ended up debating which part of the body that was. teh only clear pic was of her feet.

Next appointment in September 27 weeks. Gynae will give us hospital booking letter etc. Ladies one more month then we're in the 3rd Trimester . Time flies doesnt it.

I'm so going to the Plaza this weekend. We really need to get moving on baby stuff especially because I wont be getting a salary for 4months.

Another mad week ahead.

I am taking careful notes of your advise about baby products- I haven't even thought about things like how to wash baby clothes etc. Ladies, which pampers do you use (since there are a few different ones)? I see everywhere has nappies on sale right now, might not be a bad time to start buying a few.

AFM, the scan this weekend went well, baby put on a nice show for us (waving,kicking, pulling at umbilical cord etc) but we were very disappointed because our doctor refused to tell us if it was a girl or boy (she said she wants to keep us in suspense for another month, dh and we couldn't understand why). She didn't even turn the probe to that area though I am sure she could have quite easily.

Bought a cot and pram this weekend, the big stuff at least (Maryke thanks sooo much for the hint about the place in the plaza- they gave us some good deals- much cheaper than anywhere else we had looked and they had everything in a good range of colours).

Champers, be careful of those paint fumes... can't be good....

baby bean is doing well and kicking up a storm... i am really lazy today... really feel like going back to bed!

Cant wait to hear from the other ladies. I need a starting point for when we start with serious shopping.
Champers-unless you want serious back problems then you will paint all by yourself. Besides, the paint smell cannot be good for you. You need to take it easy.
