Good morning ladies...

Hope you all had a lovely weekend. :)

First, the big news. IT'S A GIRL!!! :) :) :) Just as we suspected all along. Baby is healthy and weighs around 770g at 25 weeks.

GML, I hope you finally managed to talk hubby into doing some shopping. I understand your frutsration, I'm sure you just want to get everything done and out of the way early and before you're too big and uncomfortable to do shopping (well thats how I feel anyway). Did you go to that Baba Indaba? We popped there for a little bit, but I didn't think it was even worth the entry fee for hubby and I since it was so small and limited (we only bought some nappies).

Champers and Maryke, shame, that pain sounds aweful. As for me, still have that weird hip pain, been there for over four months now and never goes away. And I know all about the heartburn. Maryke, sounds like you've had a nice time shopping. :)

Champers, I think 10kg above normal weight is still in the normal range. I've been quite lucky, my stomach is huge but the rest of me has stayed the same. I weigh about 47kg now, which is only about a kilo more than before I was pregnant (but that is because I lost all that weight at the beginning). My winter tops were getting too short but now that the weather is warmer I have lots of longer tops I can wear, and my pants all still fit , so I hopefully won't need to do any shopping.

Still some people MIA. Mutha2b is probably busy moving to SA, but where are Tanya, Fancyface etc?

Hope you all have a fab week.

Morning Ladies

Hope you're all feeling good.

I'm ok. Just feeling ok. Went to the Baba indaba this weekend and I must say the shop from Oriental plaza was there and their prices are quite reasonable.

Let me share a bad experience at the Baba Indaba.

Some lady there was pushing this massive pram around with no baby in it. She then parked that thing in front of me (where I was standing). I tried to move away from her by going around her pram then she pushed the pram forward (in my direction) and I fell because the wheel wrapped itself around my ankle. Stupid woman.

Hubby was looking at her like she was crazy. How could she just do that? I swear ladies I fell forward and nearly landed on my tummy. Luckily hubby caught my one hand while I landed on the other hand and on both my knees. Then this stupid lady starts apologising over and over again and I keep telling her I'm fine. Then she pushes her pram behind me (Stupid) and tries to nurse my leg by pulling it. I then just looked at and said "I said I'm fine" then I gave her this look. And hubby told this woman to leave me alone before I get really upset.

Then what does this stupid woman do? She bumps me with her pram again (coz she parked it behind me). I turned around to give her a hot clap and luckily for her, the pram was so big that I couldn't get to her.

My hubby just pulled me away from her. Nxa. I was so annoyed.

Hubby said (once I had calmed down), I just know that when you're pissed off I don't have to say much because your face and the tone in your voice is enough to let people know not to mess with you. That's why that woman kept apologising and pulling your leg like that. She was just so nervous because of the look you gave her. He was so annoyed with this woman but he said he didnt want to cause a scene seeing that this woman ws already saying sorry, OMG I'm so sorry over and over again.

I hope you all had a better weekend

HI ladies

Sorry for being MIA the last week was just so busy and I lost my cable for my netbook but found it again

Gml eish for a law firm having outdated labour law that's just stupid are they like 90 year old lawyers working there I am glad you posted the link bloody buggers they always try and rip the staff off

Champers I also have that pain feels like my ribs are pushing through my boobs and it burns like fire I have to pick up my boobs just to get a bit of relieve sorry girls but it so uncomfy

HEARTBURN HEARTBURN HEARTBURN this is murphy for me always telling hubby he must stop being a woes when he complains about it

Ok I went to the plaza with my dad yesterday he bought me the 9m to 5y car chairs the Chellino for R625 each what a bargain my lo's car chair he paid R 1200 3 years ago wow, and I bought two baby rockers for R 290 each very nice they can nap in it ( it reclines all the way down it has a feeding try that yoiu can push up then you can carry them arround without taking them out great for when you go to visitors or restaurants or just for at home that will help me a lot for only having two hands and two babies

We will have babies with us for 2 or 3 months my lo moved to her own room when she was 8 weeks old the best thing I could ever do now I have no problems with her sleeping in her own room but maybe having two will make things a tad difficult

Gml I also woke up this morning feeling huge all of a sudden

I went to pick 'n pay friday and bought cumfy shirts there and it wasn't that expensive I think pick 'n pay caters for the ladies with the bigger figures and the tops are long

Ladies have a great week!

Good luck with finding out Googlebug!

We had our 26 week scan this morning. Everything is as it should be. Baby measures in at 26 weeks, 5 days. Ladies, I HAVE PUT ON SOOOO MUCH WEIGHT!!!! I'm weighing 69.4kg!!! That's OVER 10kg OVER my normal weight.

C Sec class was good. Saw a video of an epidural and I definitely don't want one... If I'm screaming in pain, I might change my mind but jeez, that looked unpleasant.

Feeling very fat... My normally-baggy-on-me jeans, I can't even do up. blah!!!!

Doc says that burning pain under my right boob is from when I was a baby... Apparently there is a vein that runs there over the liver and it can become like a ligament when we get older so with the pressure of the baby etc, it feels like a ligament being stretched. Nothing can be done.

Have a great day ladies!

Morning ladies

Hope you're all doing well. I'm ok. Have been having some gum problems. I had some bad pain (not sure if it was a tooth ache or my gum was sore). I couldnt say for sure. All I know is that it was bad.

Even when I havent eaten anything my gum gets this numb throbbing pain.

Champers- I dont even think you should attempt pushing a pram and walking 2dogs at the same time.
Google- holding thumbs for you

Shopping- what shopping. My hubby put water all over that idea. I'm so upset I have decided that I will leave everything up to him. I want to see if he will manage everything by himself, especially considering how swamped he is at work at the moment. We spoke about getting a camp cot for the baby. We agreed that we would get one, next thing I know "we" decided to not get the cot anymore.

why did I spent all that time and energy looking at different cots, comparing them and finding out prices and informing him about it, if "we" decided not to get it anymore.

I asked him if we're not buying anything at the moment then why the hell are we going to the baba indaba? Does he honestly think my feel will handle just walking around looking at stuff for the fun of it? MEN!!!

AFM- I'm doing well. Baby seems to fight in there. His kicks get me by surprise these days.

Hi ladies

Yes some people seem to be MIA. Maybe still because of the website problems?

Champers, are you feeling any better? Lol at the dogs, with my overactive imagination, I'm picturing this crazy woman being dragged along by these dogs and a pram. Maybe you can turn the pram into a sleigh like those ones you see in the north pole with the huskies, give baby a tiny little whip to lead them on.

GML, happy shopping! We might also stop at that baba indaba if we get a chance, lots of places we need to be this weekend. GML, i totally had that feeling of growing overnight about a month back (one day I wasn't showing at all and I literally woke up the next day with this big tummy). My tummy has been hard from quite early on though, and I can still hide it under long jackets (if I wanted to). A lot of people are only starting to notice I'm pregnant now that I've shed the winter layers (although there are some that I can see are looking but are reluctant to ask if I am).

Have my next gynae visit tomorrow and I really hope we finally find out if it is a girl or boy....

We must see a pic GML! My tummy has been VERY hard from the start. People comment when they feel it, how hard it is.

Just got back from walking the dogs. Man, they make me so angry. The lab pulls and pulls that my hand is red. I walk him and it looks like he's being strangled because the choke chain is so tight. The little boston terrier pulls in all directions and ends up being rolled because she keeps turning back to check something or someone out. Everyday I dread walking them because they are such a nightmare... God alone knows how I'll do it with a pram as well.
