nanny vs creche

Yes its an old saga.
My DH is being a total jackass he does not even want to consider a nanny.
I despise when someone who is really just a 'helper' has final desisions on things that I haave looked into at length!
Jude has only had the minimum shots. I am not pro immunization.
I have seen the size of the classrooms at creches and it is not a major big space for little ones. He is convinced that J is going to play with the other kids. But kids of the same age, at this age, seems to mostly play alongside each other more than anything else.

OUr little guy still gets kissed and loved to sleep - at the daycare he will need to bring a little blanket and go to sleep on his own.
There are a few factors like these that I would just even like to DISCUSS..

I would always rather leave J with a family member than send him to creche, but if thats not possible and we can find a nanny that is that 'sweetheart type' than that would be perfect, right?
He is convinced that our child would benefit more from a class for 8 hours a day than staying with a nanny.
What do you guys think?

I am concerned about J getting sick often.. I will not be able to take off work.
