So Jude cries harder everytime I drop him off. This morning was my worst! I never force my child to do anything and its super hard to force this on him. They litterally had to tear him off me this morning. He looks at the two teachers like they are satanists or something and does not care much for the other little ones either. He is usually so friendly and confident?
I'm super sad today. I'm gonna leave him till two today and tommorrow because i'm starting work on Monday and then it will be full days.

I must say I think if i were leaving him at home with someone he knew things would have been alot better.

As I was leaving (in tears) the security door was jammed and there were two other mothers standing waiting for someone to come open up. Whilst they were consolling me (reminding me it will take a MONTH before he will stop crying in the morning) a older man, who looks exactly like an older version of the husband of the owner, comes over to open up and says hi without anyone noticing, then he sternly interrups us saying: "I SAID HI!"
WTF!? I almost kicked him..
He looks like a child molester!
Ps I'm having a really rough day :(

Memo, I agree with a kiss and wave goodbye. I can't stand to see my or any othe rchild cry for a parent. And I really do not approve of the distract and run whilst he's not looking method.

The teachers found that out the hard way, in the beginning. They used to say by bye mommy and take him into another room so as to not let him see me leave. Me, being the overbearing involved mother, followed them to say bye, kiss, hug and explain that I will be back later. These days, we stop at school, J says school - yay! and we cuddle & kiss (sometimes play with toys - these are the days when I generally don't give a rat's ass about being late  and then finally say bye.

Well that's just my opinion, and whatever method you use it does get better. They are clever these LO's. They know what's coming :P

Memo, glad the appetite is back!
My LG also dont drink milk at school, we went on Soya a few months ago and since then its only 1 milk bottle at night..she has some diluted juice or tea when going for nap time.. Just as long as she has her comfort (bottle) she is happy!
Just find out from the teacher what he is drinking during the day..Am is very pro bottle still, and I was under the impression she only drinks what I pack for her..but the other day when I got there she collected a cup from the drink stand and happily drank juice from there.. a cup!! for me that was nice, since she refuses a sippy cup..but was also worried cause some bottles came back full and I would worry if she was getting in enough fluids.

I would say its best to say goodbuy with a Kiss and a wave..when Am was still in the baby class I would take her fav book or comfort toy along, and give it to her before leaving, that would distract her a bit and avoid the tears..

yeah breakie is a big thing round here, actually my child is eating again full stop. We had a two week dead spot where I thought I was going to be a statistic, lol.. (After all that bragging about how well he eats and me with all my advise for Fly, haha)

The teacher told me that during free play (and I'm just now figuring out it's probably when they take lunch breaks themselves) they make all the kids into two groups but the toddler class does actually have two teachers.

I must anyway pack a morning snack. So I'm thinking I'll just pack lots of snacks! I also dont want to offend (probably for the same reason you suck up to your dentist) Claudia thats why I'm still trying to find out what they give them for arvy snack...

Jude does not drink anything whilst he's there!! Urg... the milk just comes home again..

Ps. He cried when I left today... what do I do? Stay? Or just kiss and wave and leave? I think by tomorrow it's gonna be hard to get him out the car. He can sniff out a pattern quickly..

lol memo, when I was looking at preschools so I could put James on a waiting list, 2 of the places I went to included lunch as part of the package - both of which I thought their lunch was shocking:) I think the head teacher at the one was quite shocked when I suggested that her lunch was anything but healthy:) I eventually put james on waiting lists at 2 schools where you take your own food. I know he'll probably "share" with friends, but t least I know what I pack for him is food that I approve of.
(Seriously I cant believe how many people there are that think that fishfingers and oros are health foods??????)
PS James also devours breakfast like a ravenous wolf - he east about the same quantity of jungle oats as I do!
