Juno, I also learnt that hard lesson. Bloods are despatched from Pathcare Paarl to the depot in Goodwood only at 2pm!!
I truly hope that you peaked on the day you didn't test and that you B'd at the right time. FXFX for you.

I am always willing to help medical science and be guinea pig. I'll inbox you.

Would anybody be interested in being a guinea pig?

My DH is an entrepreneur (for my sins). He is working in the e-medicine sphere where one of the specialist areas is medical alert symptoms. He has become very interested in TTC’ing and is going to be testing a temperature device which will alert you via your cell phone when your temperature reaches a set of parameter/s as set by the user. This also has many other applications e.g. monitoring a sick baby etc. Inbox me me if you are.

My fault. I was feeling really awful when I saw the FS and didn’t ask the questions I should have..I never don’t do that so am really p’d with myself. I was given the impression that the 2nd test may not even be necessary and then only heard at 4pm the next day that I should have bloods. I also realise that part of the problem is that it takes a lot longer for them to get the results from Pathcare when I have the tests in Paarl compared to the one I had in Brackenfell (on my way to a client). I don’t get it back the same day as it has to go to Cape Town. My one from yesterday was still not in by COB yesterday  The person I am dealing with though has been simply amazing - she even tells me when I should bd :)

Anyway I am just hoping that the surge happened on the day I missed. The thing is my symptons perfectly match O happening on CD14. I have NEVER had such bad cramps to the extent that I can't bd so let’s hope that was all the eggs being released :) This whole exercise has cost me a lot more than I had expected so will only do this again in Jan if nothing happens this month.

PS. Fertomid is apparantly going to be available in Nov in the W Cape. Nothing about Clomid though.

Very quite on the forum.

Hi Juno. How terribly frustrating. My arrangement with the Fertility Clinic is to do the LH blood test every morning until they contact me to say the surge has happened. There is one sister who actually messages every day saying "LH still low, repeat test tomorrow". I told her how much I appreciate this. As I'm always nervous that maybe a message could get lost.

Carmen I am about as frustrated as you are :(

I went for my scan on Tues (CD10) and then for lh bloods on Wed. I had not heard by Wed pm or Thurs am whether I should go and test again. I then forgot to phone and check and got a reminder at 3pm on Thurs to go but could not get away from work - very irritated that they didn't sms! So skipped Thursday:( Went Fri and Sat and both readings were in the normal range. I had such painful cramping on Fri I couldn’t even BD so am having to assume that I probably missed the surge on CD12 the day I missed. There was 26hrs between my tests on CD11 and CD13 so this is feasible. Still the fact that I don't know for sure is beyond frustrating. So I suppose I am now in the 2WW as all my O symptons have gone now so I must assume that I did O. Scuse the moan...
