Thanx girs... luckily we never smoked in the house, and he said he is going to stop with me, but being alone and working from home is different, he is at the office and it is rather difficult to go for a smoke there, but he is busy and that helps when you quit smoking... I am going to speak to him this weekend... I have to tell someone in my family, my mom and my two sisters... we are extremely close, don't want to put the pressure on her not being able to tell my sisters.. my one sister went to the same FS i went to, in fact she recommended his as she has two beautiful boys because of him... he is also responsible for my her (my sisters') sister in law who as 4 boys 1 older boy and triplets. can you just imagine...

Glad to hear that I'm not the only active smoker, I also try to cut down but when work gets stressful and allot I tend to smoke a bit more
I try to smoke the lightest cigarette I can find that way my intake is not too much and it is easier too quit
What a bad habit hey! My auto correct almost typed hobbit!

Anyways we all have our little things that are bad for us and we know we should stop but it isn't always easy

For men pregnancy doesn't sink in till they see that first U/S scan

(Just a suggestion:)
Why not talk to DH and ask if you could just tell your Mom, explain to him that you feel alone and have many unanswered questions that you feel is important to you to be unanswered. If he says yes and you tell your mom just ask here to stay quiet for awhile until you break the news. That way you wont be so alone and will be able to talk to someone about it.

Ooh and that first cup of java and sigi is the best hey! But no worries ask DH to smoke outside and enjoy a cup of decaf with him that way you wont have to change much

I have to agree, thank you for the advise and encouragement! I really like this page and I am glad it is this active!

Oh goodness I am glad I am not the only one who smokes, dont you feel so bad smoking while ttc? We dont smoke like 20 a day more like 3-5 a day, so it should be easy to quite but try it. LOL! I think we need to do that as well as it is not good for our fertility.

@HVDB - I agree with you and I would be the same, its not fair to your nor to your baby. Completely understand and not its not selfish.

Thank you P4M1, I really didn't think it would be so difficult, we got the BFP Monday afternoon, and the last smoke I had was that morning... but it is all the other routines that now will change, my coffee and a smoke with DH every morning for the last 8 years at 05h30 is going to change it small things like that that makes it hard... and I KNOW it is such a small sacrifice for what is coming and I KNOW it is all worth it, that is what gets me through it, but not being able to talk to my family about it yet, I think is what is getting me down... DH really really wants to wait for 12 weeks. He is close with his family but not as close as I am to mine so I don't think he understands exactly what I am going through. I am alone the whole day, just me and my thoughts, and emotions, where he is at work, with other people keeping his mind busy... not this side... I sorry, I know this sounds selfish, I am suppose to be happy and excited... which I am, but I also feel down and very emotional and very lonely!
