@Chanti - I know the feeling! I have a friend who is due in February 2016, who visited us a week ago. The only thing she could talk about is the pregnancy and how she is preparing and and and... I thought I was going to have a fit! She knows that we are struggling to conceive, and still she keeps on blabbing on about her own pregnancy and small son. I know she is excited and oddly enough I am also excited for her, but she was not sensitive at all to how her excited chatter would affect me. In the 18+ months we have been TTC, all my friends feel pregnant and had baby's (One friend proudly announced she was pregnant unexpectedly and unplanned - It made me so mad! My other friend had her second set of twins). The friend that visited us is the last one to give birth. And still I am not pregnant. It is disheartening. Our FS also said that IVF is our only option to conceive because of hubby's genetic morphology issues, but I am still hoping and praying for natural conception. My issues can be corrected - ovulation and weight etc. I lost 22kgs and 45cm in 2015 and started my second round of the diet yesterday - Hoping to lose another 20 odd kgs. This diet is also safe for pregnancy and lactation, so I will be staying with it throughout this year, even if I do fall pregnant.
I keep on telling myself, it's not if I fall pregnant, it is a matter of when. I'm trying to remain positive and hopeful and to not stress about this TTC journey. I have enough stress on my plate. I just want to relax and unwind a bit.
This month, we are taking TTC very seriously. I am doing everything I should, except temping (I just find that overrated), and I hope that it will pay off. Either this month, or next month. I will continue with all the meds and the SMEP programme for four months, carefully and meticulously noting everything down for my FS. In July we will be TTC for 2 years. If nothing happens by then, we will go back to my FS to discuss further steps.
@Jooste - Thank you for your response to my post on the OPK's. It really helped me a lot! Holding thumbs for your speedy BFP!
