there are preventative measures such as mosquito net, lotions, plug in thingy's etc. as for the tablets, we simply cannot live on those for the 3 years we will be there but thanks for your input!!! i dont feel guilty now. was worried everyone would say i should wait

Meags - I'll just type a shorter version of it.. I think if you keep waiting because of anu circumstances..you'll never have kids. Life is full of obstacles.
Id say go with the flow and TTC september. Im sure there are preventitive measures you can use for malaria. Your Little one will be fine.

Hello everyone else!!

So...I have 2 things to update on...
We actually cant start TTC in September because we have not been on honeymoon yet and are planning to go in December. and I do not want to be drinking virgin cocktails in the maldives...so...I cant be pregnant before then.

second thing...we are immigrating to ivory coast. they have a high rate of malaria.
thousands (maybe even hundreds of thousands) of people die from malaria in ivory coast each year...and most are children.

Do I hold back another 3 years and not have kids because we're moving there? (I will be COMPLETELY MISERABLE if we have to do this) or do I just take as many precautions as possible with the baby?
I feel almost irresponsible having a baby knowing it's a malaria country but then also think you cant just put your life on hold.
I also wont be able to work there as they only speak french and their local languages...so I'm just wondering what the hell I'm going to do if I don't have a baby?

Sorry ek het regtig nie tyd om alles op te vang wat ek gemis het nie. Ek dink ek het laas op bladsy 90 gelees!!! Dinge is HECTIC hier by die werk.

Als OK aan my kant. Moes nog by die huis gewees het maar het besluit om maar vandag te kom werk want ek moet volgende Donderdag en Vrydag alweer afvat want ek gan Donderdagoggend vir my laporoscopy!!!

Wou net vinnig inpop want Ilse het my vertel van Kimika. GELUK OU GIRL!!!!! Ek is so bly vir julle. Manlief is seker in die wolke. Mag jy 'n wonderlike fantastiese 9 maande hê!!

Aan al die res van julle... Hallo!! Geniet die Vrydag en julle naweek. Ek sal hard probeer om op te van voor ek Donderdag weer weggaan, belowe.

PS: Ek is vandag omtrent 9DPO so ek dink ek gaan so Dinsdag POAS net om seker te maak daar is niks voor ek gan vir die lap. Sal jou laat weet!!
